Also not a big explosive charge. The street signs to the left and right of the seat of the blast don’t seem to be bent. I’d have expected them to be bent/folded away from the blast.
This and the white smoke/orange flash says ‘gunpowder’ to me, not something with a detonation wave.
Still this is all speculation. By now the authorities know well what the charge was from the residue. They just haven’t shared the info with the public.
Might have been a partial detonation which could yield good evidence. This could be an inside job, with street crew or marathon event staff involved.
These have FBI tags so they had to be leaked, why? For who’s benefit ?
I people would listen to the accompanying news report video, the reporters explained ...
THEY blurred the pic. The originals were forwarded to the FBI, unblurred. The blurs were to cover up the mained bodies, limbs, blood, gore.
The reporter said that the shopping bag was no longer there in the 2nd photo.
Someone mentioned that such an explosion was a Unibomber method of doing harm. The person who did this is one nasty creep.
Same holds true for the ricin and the package sent to Sheriff Arapaio.
I am talking about the photos at this link of evidence of the pressure cooker.
Rescuers and witnesses moved the barriers to help victims! Also, second photo taken an hour or more after first.
How do the tree and the mailbox remain unscathed?
Why are the white chairs still white and not blown up?
No photos of the it being placed?

I think you are correct. The two bags by the metal box do not even look like they were moved, let alone exploded. The metal box has not even been dented. This was mainly to hurt the poor people in the crowd.
Looks like they are scouring the same area in this pic.
In the first photo there is something in the grate at the curb to the left, in the second photo whatever it was is gone. Was it just paper that blew out?
If that was the bomb, which it very well could have been, it would have been been placed after the initial sweeps by police. Someone had to see someone place that.
Title said “New pics from moments before, after blasts” Cannot have both that and the bag being the bomb. If the 2nd was hours later anything is possible
