House Republicans want more information about the Obama administration's $54 million grants to help people navigate the new insurance marketplaces created by the Affordable Care Act.
On Friday, six GOP members of the Energy and Commerce Committee wrote a letter asking Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Kathleen Sebelius seven questions about the grants, which will allow "navigators" to help consumers shop for healthcare in new insurance exchanges.
The legislators requested information "to assist the Committee in understanding the role Navigators will play" once the healthcare reform law is fully implemented.
They asked about the role and number of the navigators, the grants' funding source and how the Heath and Human Services Department will train and monitor the navigators. The lawmakers want the answers to be submitted by the end of April.

The list, Ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
Are these the same GOP Deucebags who are fast tracking funds to shore up obamneycare’s more unworkable aspects?
I smell Acorn.
You smell correctly.....
For $40+ per hour, you, too, can give advice on health care forms and plans. Check here to sign up as a Democrat, or make your X and I’ll do it for you.
Four years late to be asking and finding out.
Yep, we are financing our own destruction, paying the bureaucratic microbes to do it, and allowing them to retire on our dime as well......
Asking for information. LOL. They are going on the Republican version of an "offensive". The pathetic and stupid party.
And these cretins will have access to our personal health and financial information.
These “jobs” as navigators are simply make-work sinecures and pay-back for obozo’s otherwise unemployable rabble from ACORN and his other community organizer outfits.
Fits perfectly into the Cloward-Piven break the treasury scheme he’s been using elsewhere.
Oh yeah, and they'll know your voting registration info, probably your web browsing info, and I wonder who will get the soon to be rationed health care dollar? Conservative dudes who are registered R or I or C, or transgenders and illegals? Go figure.
Navigators, IMO, are just more of OBayMe’s Gestapo agents.
my HATE for obama is becoming more and more difficult to express
I wished they would demand that the voting question be stricken off the applications. What does healthcare and voting have to do with one another?
What you smell is Affirmative Action jobs being opened up to a bunch of soon to be SEIU union workers.
And yes the stench is overwhelming.
Well, Obama care has nothing to do with health care in the first place. It is about control, period, which has everything to do with politics and voting.
