Should Conservatives Seek an End to Immigration, in Order to Save the Republican Party?

Posted on 04/16/2013 10:52:43 AM PDT by pinochet

The key to giving Republicans a fighting chance to win the presidency, is to end immigration to America, which will permit the immigrants who are already in America to assimilate to American values. Asian voters supported Obama with higher percentages than Hispanics. Asians gave Obama 73 percent of their vote, while Hispanics gave Obama 71 percent of their vote. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2012-11-08/asian-voters-send-a-message-to-republicans.html

I agree with Ann Coulter. More immigration will kill the Republican Party, and by extension, destroy American values and the American identity. The insane people at the Republican national committee, think that they can strengthen the Republican Party by importing more Democratic Party voters.

End to immigration? NO.

End to ILLEGAL immigration? ABSOLUTELY.

“....in Order to Save the Republican Party?”

.
It’s not the GOP that we should be concerned about — it is the country’s future that needs saving.

And so far, the PUBS are not being of much help.

No. Conservatives should welcome legal immigration.

Add legal immigration 'that is a net economic asset to the country' and I'm on board.

Disagree, we have had enough of all forms of immigration to last us 100 years. Time for whats here to assimilate. A

Immigration policy should serve the interests of citizens.

The policy makers who determine the quotas, the numbers per source country and the total numbers to be allowed in, should have to explain and defend where and how they derive the numbers, and how those numbers serve the interest of American citizens, and why that number is the optimum number.

That is something they have never done and they will never willingly do. Immigration policy is usually done behind closed doors and with no public input.

And the first and foremost question asked to any prospective immigrant: “What do you have to offer that we are in need of in this country?”

The intention to get into a welfare line upon arrival is definitely not enough reason to let the immigrant in.

You want to save the parties period. Get rid of the people currently there.

It’s not the GOP that we should be concerned about — it is the country’s future that needs saving.

Our elections are a farce. Even the UN observers in 2008 couldn't believe we had no voter ID. The democrats and illegals vote all they want, and there's nothing to stop them. Without voter ID, our elections are invalid.

It takes a lot of good, American people to come out in order to outnumber the illegal votes. Every now and then it happens, but the corruption on the left is getting more embolden by the day.

Until the American people stand up and demand voter ID in great numbers, the country is going to continue to spiral down into the left wings vortex of stench.

Well what it would take for the GOP to recover immigrant votes would be two things. 1] good economy create republicans so create good economy. 2] Time, how much depends on success at #1, the quicker the better but right now GOP recovery is in the tank. But other immigrant groups have been absorbed into the GOP as their money pile increased over time. Talking ‘constitution’ all day long won’t help when people vote their pocket book.

I don’t know how we could achieve it. Add up all the Dems plus the RINO squishes looking to curry favor with Hispanics, and at least 80% of the Congress appears to be pro-open borders.

I’m not worried about immigration killing the GOP, the idiots now running it are doing a bang up job on their own. I’m worried about immigration killing the country as we know it from it’s founding principles.

An option is to import Republican Party voters (from which countries?).

A Republican is a Democrat who is watching a blithering, incompetent terrorism investigation after having his leg blown off by a pressure cooker.

If that is what it takes to save GOP then its over.

How come so many in the GOP thought up until last November that the GOP ws winning these people? I know Rush was telling his listeners that.

Not a peep about Asians last year by GOP.

Chinese from PRC are very socially conservative especially regarding the family.

Now Koreans ??? I get the impression their kids go to public schools here and become standard young liberal morons. yet many are Christians.

The issue is not “immigration” it is “assimilation”. Look, GOP, if I wanted to live in Mexico or some *stan, I would move there. When too many immigrants from another culture come here and settle in one area, they tend to reconstitute their own culture rather than assimilating. This seem especially true with Muslims. If I am wrong, then please someone, speak up.

If someone wants to move here, my main concern then stems from some groups giving the appearance that they want to seize part of the US and make it their own little island of culture. I only have to look at “The Race” (la Raza) for a prime example. If you want to live in Mexico, don’t move here and try to recreate Mexico here, and especially don’t demand that I pay for it.

They should stop all immigration until we’ve got secure borders. ....

I always tell people that the border has to be closed first, just like a plumer turns off the water before he gets the water out and repairs the leak .
