Should Conservatives Seek an End to Immigration, in Order to Save the Republican Party?

Posted on 04/16/2013 10:52:43 AM PDT by pinochet

The key to giving Republicans a fighting chance to win the presidency, is to end immigration to America, which will permit the immigrants who are already in America to assimilate to American values. Asian voters supported Obama with higher percentages than Hispanics. Asians gave Obama 73 percent of their vote, while Hispanics gave Obama 71 percent of their vote. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2012-11-08/asian-voters-send-a-message-to-republicans.html

I agree with Ann Coulter. More immigration will kill the Republican Party, and by extension, destroy American values and the American identity. The insane people at the Republican national committee, think that they can strengthen the Republican Party by importing more Democratic Party voters.

In case you want to know how much of the Muslim-American vote that Obama received, he got 85 percent. http://nation.foxnews.com/muslim-american-votes/2012/11/09/poll-85-american-muslims-voted-obama

More immigration will lead to Republicans losing control of Congress and the Governors' offices, in addition to making it even harder for Republicans to win the Presidency.

“However, if there is one man who can take the most credit for the 1965 act, it is John F. Kennedy. Kennedy seems to have inherited the resentment his father Joseph felt as an outsider in Boston’s WASP aristocracy. He voted against the McCarran-Walter Act of 1952, and supported various refugee acts throughout the 1950s. In 1958 he wrote a book, A Nation of Immigrants, which attacked the quota system as illogical and without purpose, and the book served as Kennedy’s blueprint for immigration reform after he became president in 1960. In the summer of 1963, Kennedy sent Congress a proposal calling for the elimination of the national origins quota system. He wanted immigrants admitted on the basis of family reunification and needed skills, without regard to national origin. After his assassination in November, his brother Robert took up the cause of immigration reform, calling it JFK’s legacy. In the forward to a revised edition of A Nation of Immigrants, issued in 1964 to gain support for the new law, he wrote, “I know of no cause which President Kennedy championed more warmly than the improvement of our immigration policies.” Sold as a memorial to JFK, there was very little opposition to what became known as the Immigration Act of 1965.”

Here is an immutable, irrevocable fact: “Normalized” illegal aliens (Marco’s distant cousins) WILL NOT vote for Republicans of any flavor - the reason is that Democrats are even willing to sell you, your momma, your wife, children AND grandchildren down the river just like old Jim in Twain’s Huckleberry Finn solely for their vote.

DEMOCRATS WILL ALWAYS promise more entitlements than Republicans....always.

An option is to import Republican Party voters (from which countries?).

Why not? The democrats are pushing legal and illegal immigration for exactly that reason.

There are too many foreigners here as it is. Send them all back. Punish them all for the violations of immigration and tell them police themselves or no one comes back. It’s like a military squad leader punishing everyone because one person screwed up and the squad didn’t apply the proper peer pressure to prevent the infraction.

Voter ID, one LEGAL vote per person, and we'd never have to lose another election. This is why the libs would fight to their death to stop a legal election from happening.

Who would object to an honest election? Once "the poor" get their obomacare cards, they'll all have an ID they could use. They'd crawl over broken glass to get their hands on one of those cards.

yes, but it will never happen because we would need super majorities in the congress and the presidency to pass such a thing.

AGREED

The “Illegal Democrats” who are already here will vote for MORE illegal immigrants. The legal ones will vote Republican.

They should stop all immigration until we’ve got secure borders. How many bombings do we need before we realize it’s a dangerous world?

The fact that you have purposely neglect to acknowledge the difference between legal and illegal immigration requires that I peg you as a Democrat Underground troll.

Go back to DU, troll.

No,not in order to save the Republican Party. We must stop immigration...ALL IMMIGRATION...in order to save THE NATION!

The ban, perhaps, should be temporary and when immigration is resumed a detailed plan should allow only foreigners with exceptional skills...skills desperately needed here...to enter and those people must be from English speaking countries (Canada/UK/Australia/Ireland...and *maybe* India).

The Republican Party has emerged as its own worst enemy and, IMO, is beyond and not worth saving.

Conservatives should start looking elsewhere for another political party we can support; one that supports and stands behind the Constitution as the Founding Fathers intended.

Just enforce the immigration laws we have on the books already. No sanctuary cities. No American jobs. No welfare. They'd all go home by themselves.

We don't need amnesty. We need to enforce our laws. If some laws can simply be ignored because someone somewhere doesn't like them, why not ignore ALL the laws? I'm sure there are a lot of laws we on the right don't like, so should we just ignore them, too?
