NY Psychiatrists Served With Subpoenas For Patient Records In NY Gun Confiscation

NY Governor Andrew Cuomo’s Machiavellian Plot to ignore and subvert the Rights of potentially millions of NY State residents developed another layer late Sunday.

After breaking the story of Amhurst NY Area Resident David Lewis having his lawfully purchase and legally owned firearms confiscated by order of the State Police after a flagrantly illegal and Un-Constitutional review of his medical records , Word came to me in my capacity as in journalist late Sunday that NY Officials have apparently doubled down on their sinister plot and blatant abuse of power.

My sources revealed that two prominent and well regarded Buffalo Area Psychiatrists received subpoenas from State Officials, possibly on Friday April 12th 2013, commanding them to turn over all of their patient files to the State. Details are sketchy at this early stage, but I have been told that both Doctors have in house counsel as well as potentially consulting with the Law Firm of Jim Tresmond, Firearms Law Specialist and the Attorney of Record for Mr Lewis.

What is clear is that those subpoenas would have to have been issued by someone in the State’s Attorney’s Office. What remains unknown at this point is whether the order or request for the subpoenas originated with the Superintendent of the NY State Police, Joseph D’Amico or from the Office of the the Commissioner of the NY State Division of Criminal Justice Services or one of his lieutenants.

Chilling me to the bone on a daily basis. NY State is a test case. As soon as they see how far they can push there, the Feds will use their power to unilaterally do the same thing nationally.

New York HAS sent out subpoenas to Health Care professionals for records to indicate if any citizens need their guns confiscated.

For all of those who just love to pick on NY (upstate does not suck as much as downstate) WARNING, this is the test of how far government can go without any response from those who actually believe in the brilliance of the founders.

NYers need your support otherwise this “rights” cancer will spread to all the other “rights” and to every state in the nation.

They are testing us.

These are the EXACT same people who are quite happy to kill a baby using the cover of “privacy” (not an actual right to abortion) yet VIOLATE privacy in subpoenaing health care records to violate the 2nd Amendment.

NY State was caught last week violating the rights and privacy of an upstate gun holder by confiscating his guns and permit even though they now admit it was a “mistake” yet in the very next breath they subpoena more records to do exactly the same thing.

The NY State police are now quite divided as there are some who are NOT brown shirts yet are being ordered by the Cuomo mafia to do its bidding.

NY has also been working with DHS to test how the 4th amendment and HIPA laws can be circumvented.

You have been warned.

Have them start confiscation on the upper west side, then SOHO and Tribeca. That should end this Stalinist movement

Great strategy. Unconstitutional? Illegal? Violation of Doctor/Patient confidentiality? Sure. “See you in court.” In the interim, all those seized (grandfathered) guns will never be returned, and they can’t be replaced. All you will ever get from the state is an “Gee. We’re sorry.”

Someone is going to start shooting. When that happens, the situation on the ground will deteriorate quickly.

Can you imagine what kind of hit to their business the psychiatrists and others in the “analyst” field are going to take in New York?? Whew... They cannot possible be happy about this. There must be appointment cancellations burning up the phone lines, at least for those who are not on the government dole.

The government is already totalitarian. You just think you have freedom.

They need to be sued for 1-Billion, because that's not as much as 100-million.

Make them pay for this blatant frivolous harassment. Next they will start
confiscating/banning books, primarily those evil trouble making Bibles. They'll
start with the Gideon's in hotels.

Try to imagine the screeching that would result from a similar subpoena to abortion clinics for their records.

Some here are saying this is a test case so they can see how far they can go. OK. But it gets in the face of those who care about (individually or in conjunction): gun rights, privacy rights, mental health care rights, health care rights, due process, property rights, and I could probably go on but I won’t. The thing is, it will aggravate a lot of people, not just those interested in gun rights.

This seems dumb. It looks like a losing proposition, something that will possibly unify people with otherwise apparently disparate interests.

This is a very large socialist plot to enslave the population.
A shrink just told about the government’s plan to offer medical people a $1500 per veteran bounty to list individual vets as having mental problems for the purposes of confiscating their guns.

You and I have never live under true totalitarianism. Yes, we are headed there. No, we are not there yet. We still have the option of fighting back. If we fail to make the best use of it, shame on us. But there is still time, if we do not squander it.

You are spot on with that assessment. Most NY State Police officers would feel right at home with the Stasi.

Quite interesting that “V For Vendetta” was on TV last night.

Obama and Cuomo are contending for the title of “Chancellor”.
