Many of us have noticed how the media--national and local Florida--have ignored how the prosecution's "star witness" (the "girlfriend" supposedly on the phone with Martin before the teen attacked George Zimmerman) has been apparently discredited.
So I wondered how the local Miami so-called news organizations would cover the latest report regarding St. Trayvon.
While it appears EVERY station in Miami has NOT done extensive coverage on the problems regarding Benjamin Crump and the "star witness", THREE of the FOUR network affiliates *did* cover the "paper target" story....in which a silhouette of Trayvon, that was NEVER shot, was printed on paper.
My theory is that NBC in Miami, the supposed source of the unfairly edited "9-1-1" call that implicated George Zimmerman as a racist, has nervous management when it comes to the story.
They all have a lefty bias, clearly
I think you might be perpetuating the myth yourself.
What I read was that it was a silhouette of a faceless person in a hoodie, holding two objects, not a silhouette of "Trayvon".
Notice my title put that in quotation marks. I try to proof read my posts, but the discerning reader, especially here on FR, ought to be able to ascertain my intent....

And why do they continue to use the 14-year-old Trayvon photos when there are many more recent photos of him.
And he certainly looks much less sweet-and-innocent as a 17 year old thug wanna-be.
Has there been fewer robberies since he ran into the wrong man? (a potential victim with a gun)
Then the BLOOOD is on their hands when the Riots break out after Mr. Zimmerman goes free. Their lack of truth is a crime against humanity.

“..the target”? The silhouette was a “no-shoot” training aid to help train shooters to be discriminating, be keenly observant and pay attention to details when deciding whether a POTENTIAL target in the range was an actual target.
No, I just read the target was being worn at the mtv movie awards last night by jamie fox. To bad the cop from Port Canaveral wasn’t there. The new che emerges. Looks a lot like king husseins son might have looked too. Nor sure if that would be j. fox or the image on the shirt. hmmmmm?

The reason i to increase anger and hatred in America’s permanent underclass group.
The next time a bunch of subhuman savages invades a mall and trashes the place and assaults White mothers with their little White chillen, the media will rush to forgive them blaming it on the “Trayvon Martin targets.”
And to increase White Guilt.

Duhhhh.....That’s the whole point that seems to have escaped you and some others here. “No shoot” silhouettes are meant to be interspersed on the range with targets meant to be engaged.
The ‘scoring ring’ feature is MEANT to help strongly induce the “shoot it” response as a first instinct. The shooters being trained are meant to learn NOT to engage a potential target until they’ve affirmatively determined that it really should be engaged—that is, until they’ve observed (and not just “felt”) that it was ARMED and was not a friendly.
One of the best ways of having trainees learn (and “internalize”) this lesson is to put them in situations where they are “tempted” to make hypothetical fatal mistakes on the range such as shooting unarmed civilians. Nothing like seeing a trainee’s face once they’ve learned they just shot an “innocent”—and nothing like it for driving home the point to that trainees.
By the way, since you thought that the unarmed silhouette was a legitimate target because it wore a hoody with a “scoring ring”, you’ve made a rookie mistake and failed your test. I hope you’ve learned your lesson.
And if you were simply being sarcastic with your post, then I apologize for the “lecture”. Anyhow, train well, train realistically and train ofter folks—just save some of your ammunition for the real thing.
what do you mean NOW the Media are lying?
They have been for years
They were sold as TARGETS last year, not training aids.
This cop may have thought they would make good training aids, but if he did he was less than bright in this ‘PC’ world.
Holding ‘skittles’ and a can of watermelon ice tea, it is beyond a stretch to pass it off as a training aid.
I don't fault the guy who made the targets, he made a ton off selling them before the media through a fit.
But a cop should have known better than to have them in his car, much less on a range. He had to know as a public official that someone wouldn't see the humor of it and report him.
On the positive side, the media and the Martin family are admitting that the dark shadowy figure on that target is the image of Trayvon Martin — not the cherub wearing the red Hollister shirt.
