It appears that a convent full of nuns have more balls than The United Veterans Memorial and Patriotic Association of New Rochelle. For all we know, those organizations are liberal and hate the TEA Party. Pulling down the Gadsden Flag is, to them, showing spine. This is the People's Republic of New Yawk, isn't it?
