Bomb North Korea, Before It’s Too Late

By JEREMI SURI

AUSTIN, Tex.

SINCE February, the North Korean government has followed one threatening move with another. The spiral began with an underground nuclear test. Then the North declared the armistice that ended the Korean War invalid. The young dictator Kim Jong-un followed with a flurry of threats to attack civilian targets in South Korea, Japan and the United States.

The news here is not that somebody is urging the bombing of NK facilities, but NYT bothered to print it. Was it something they were drinking?

Kerry is in the region to make Zero's wish happen. “Dialogue song” is being played again.

Yeah, let’s start yet another bombing campaign... with China sitting just to the north, what could go wrong?

As for why the NYT printed it, libs are all for going to war, sibling as there’s a rich political payoff for the little dictator, Colonel Barackamar Obamadaffi.

I have the sick feeling that this whole thing is theater choreographed to make OUR dear leader look like a tough guy.

Work with the Norks to Make Kim Jong Un out to be a modern day Khrushchev, bluster your way through a contrived Cuban missile crisis of your own, maybe shoot down a missile, then send them a boatload of cash when they agree to peace.

Zero gets the Nobel Peace prize and KJU gets five billion dollars.

Uhh, doesn’t anyone realize China has a defense pact with NK? If we bomb NK China may launch an attack on the US.

Interesting that the author of the NYT article is from Austin Texas which is one of the targeted cities for North Korea’s nukes . One article mentioned that Austin is targeted because of their large Samsung company.

That is interesting. Austin, home of the Texas left. A target city on NK’s list. Calling for a first-strike bombing attack on NK. Talk about situational ethics.

Since it's in the slimes, it'll be interesting to see if the rest of the lame stream media goes along with it.

But even if they do, this admin won't do anything but golf.

We’ve been there and done that.....it did not work out too well. Does anyone really believe Bam has the guts to nuke NK?

Of course, everyone does understand that this whole thing is being used to take Iran of the Iran-NK axis out of the news?

The end game is not Un’s, but the Iranian Supreme Leader’s ploy for more time to get a nuke to use on Israel.

Sounds more readable, especially with the NYT pushing it. Show of force facade.

You beat me to this, Tiger! I was about to post the same article.

For the New York Times to print an op-ed piece calling for a first strike is shocking. And as for them being in Obama’s pocket, here's their editorial today on the subject: “North Korea poses a more imminent nuclear threat than Iran. But so far, Mr. Kerry’s continuing trip does not make us confident that the administration has a fully thought out strategy that will be any more successful than the current one, which has failed to curb either the North’s nuclear weapons program or its bellicosity.”

http://www.nytimes.com/2013/04/13/opinion/the-north-korea-problem.html?emc=tnt&tntemail1=y

Also, you might like to send this surprisingly positive profile of President Park Geun-hye to the Korea ping list:

Steely Leader of South Korea Is Battle-Ready

http://www.nytimes.com/2013/04/13/world/asia/park-geun-hye-steely-leader-of-south-korea-is-battle-ready.html?pagewanted=2&_r=0&nl=todaysheadlines&emc=edit_th_20130413&pagewanted=all

The influence of the “old media” is less than it once was, but the New York Times is definitely an opinion leader in American liberal political circles. Something is clearly going on among the liberal elites if the New York Times is criticizing Obama, complimenting the daughter of a military dictator, and printing op-ed pieces calling for military first strikes. This simply isn't at all part of the normal playbook.

But then again, King Jong-un has also departed from the playbook, and perhaps those people in elite liberal circles who have access to information we don't have good reason to be afraid.

Bomb the North Korean missile site while making public statements that we are not seeking regime change and then hope they don't retaliate?

This guy is a flipping moron. I hope Barack Obama Valerie Jarrett isn't as stupid as he is.
