This week also marked the passing of a British WWII veteran.

Flight Lieutenant Les Brodrick , who has died aged 91, was one of the 76 men to escape from Stalag Luft III during “The Great Escape” [basis for Steve McQueen movie of same name], which resulted in the murder of 50 RAF officers on the direct orders of Hitler.

A real life hero whose story is well worth reading.

It’s a nice coolish morning here and would probably be a
good day for hubby to work in our yard too. You know how
things just get messy over the winter? That all needs to
be swept, mowed, stashed, planted, weeded, cleaned out...etc.
