Students Asked to ‘Argue That Jews Are Evil’ and Prove Nazi Loyalty in Assignment Linked to Common

Students in some Albany High School English classes were asked to participate in the unthinkable this week as part of a persuasive writing assignment. The objective? Prove why Jews are evil and convince the teacher of their loyalty to the Third Reich in five paragraphs or less.

“You must argue that Jews are evil, and use solid rationale from government propaganda to convince me of your loyalty to the Third Reich!” read the description on the assignment, which the school superintendent said reflects the kind of sophisticated writing expected of students under the new Common Core standards and was meant to hone students’ persuasive argument abilities.

The TimesUnion reports that students were asked to digest Nazi propaganda material, then imagine that their teacher was an SS officer who needed to be persuaded of their loyalty by arguing that Jews are the root of all the world’s ills.

Just like nazi German schools. Make the kids prove their allegiance to the fuehrer and isolate or eliminate the dissenters.

The conditioning and brainwashing-—has been going on since John Dewey-—it was more subtle....in 1970 the curricula was forcing children to believe “Situational Ethics” which is moral relativism—to erase the Judeo-Christian Ethics that formed the USA.

In the 30’s-—the Cultural Marxists knew they had to destroy America by corrupting and destroying the “thinking” of the children. Control education and you control the future of everything.

Un-freakin’-believable!

In 2007, merely suggesting this kind of crap under Bush would’ve be shrieked about for months as sure proof of the eeee-vil designs Republicans had for innocent children. Now, it’s perfectly understandable as a tool for improving children’s minds. Marching and unquestioning obedience are the next courses.

Homeschool now!

"Class, for today's assignment, I want you each to write an essay on why Muslims are actually worshiping Satan when they mention Allah. 500 words, please."

What? This never happens?? Why?

IF you assume that the teacher’s motives are pure and that the kids are all bright enough to grasp what’s going on, i.e. that they are being asked to comprehend what was going on in German minds circa 1932 and how Nazism worked, then the aassignment almost sounds reasonable. In the United States at present, those ‘IFs’ are going to seem a bit too big to most people.

There was a generation of people who refused to "legitimize" the Nazis in any way. Medicine refused to use the notes gathered from Nazi experimentation on concentration camp Jews.

It is wrong to suggest that a teacher could possibly find a "legitimate" excuse for having children put themselves in the place of Nazis against the Jews.

What would be the reaction if this were the assignment?

You are a taskmaster on an 1840's plantation in Georgia. Your black slaves are acting up and slowing down the harvesting of cotton to protest their treatment. Persuade the reader why you should single out a man and whip him repeatedly in front of the others in order to break the work stoppage and restore control.

But why not turn it around for a positive view? Let’s pretend you’re a merchant or ship owner in Boston in 1774. On March 7, the British close the port of Boston to all commerce damaging your livelihood. The Boston Port Bill is passed on March 25 and the original Quartering Act is amended on June 25 to allow British soldiers to be quartered in uninhabited houses, outhouses, barns, or other buildings if suitable quarters not provided (the “Intolerable Acts”). Argue why this is an infringement of your liberties as an Englishman and present the case for violent overthrow of the now-tyrannical government.

Why don’t schools ever ask students to make these arguments?

The teachers and admisistrators were “only following orders” when they did this leeson plan. We all know how that excuse worked before. If this is really part of the common core program who put this lesson plan in, who approved it. Who reviewed this section and signed off on it. They should not only be fired but should also be investigated for a hate crime. If this part of the common core program how many other school districts and individual schools and teachers have used it. Have any teachers, administrators, schools, school districts objected to its inclusion before it hit the fan? If not why not?

How about an essay defending one of two views of African-Americans held at the time of the Civil War and before. People like Lincoln generally held that Blacks were human but far behind the white race in intellectual and moral development. It would be many years of carefully change before they even close to equal. The other view was that Blacks while close weren’t really human like the White race and never would be. This would never happen. It wouldn’t have made it into the program and anyone proposing it would have been rightly fired. If it somehow did make it in no teacher would ever use it and the stink they’d raise would reach the heavens.

Who ever did this exercise on the Jews needs to be identified and all the other sections they were involved in need to be examined. Has anyone loose at the rest of the of the material in this entire section? I’ll bet there is more.
