Marco Rubio goes all-in on immigration bill
Polutico ^ | Friday April 11, 2013

Marco Rubio is preparing to go all in to support sweeping immigration legislation, offering himself up as the public face of a bill that will split the Republican Party — but that his allies hope will propel him to the front of the GOP presidential sweepstakes.

After offering lukewarm support until now, Rubio is preparing to fully embrace a measure that is the most significant of his political career so far. The gambit could pay off in spades by crowning a leading presidential contender in 2016, or it could permanently damage the Republican’s brand with conservatives.

Rubio is planning a media blitz to promote the bill — which is expected to be released early next week — making the rounds on all of the Sunday political talk shows starting this weekend, wooing skeptical conservative radio hosts and pitching the plan to Spanish-language news outlets. The campaign is aimed at building public support for the far-reaching immigration bill that will dominate Capitol Hill’s attention for much of year

Palin is also an amnesty supporter.

Not that I am aware of, and I can forgive one flaw in an otherwise excellent candidate like her. If they run another RINO, like McCain and Romney, I won't be voting GOP or working for them, just as I didn't vote Romney (in my very liberal state so it doesn't matter much).

Not enough of us care. The proof of that ugly assertion is in the fact that to this day there are people right here on FR willing to compromise on gay everything for votes, on immigration for votes and every other issue we supposedly hold dear.

When enough people get their heads out of fantasyland and return to conservatism, I’ll be happy to help them toss these idiots. But until then, they are worse than Democrats. They are the enemy within that put these bastards in power.

Until then, I will just take great pleasure in watching them squirm. True, that pleasure comes at the expense of America, but if they gave two craps about their country, they would not be defending, supporting and excusing these leftists. So I don’t feel bad at all. America is toast and these Benedict Arnolds killed it. Some of us stood by our principles...the same ones the founders enshrined.

Same here. As a Floridian I've said he is not a conservative representative when it comes to amnesty and I've been repeatedly told by non-Floridians that I'm wrong. Hope this opens the eyes of those who thought Rubio would put his allegiance to this Country before his heritage.

Doesn’t matter. They’re not worried. They will join the left when there’s no where else to go. We’ll have a one party country soon with a dictator for life.

This is why I have been saying for years now that it is time to get out of here if you can. The commies have won & the sheeple are too lazy to fight the battle.

White Middle class Christians want guns, prosperity, and their rights. We are too much trouble to rule over so we are to be displaced, diluted, and dispossessed.

That's textbook communism. That's this nation today.

Is there not one patriot left in DC, who is willing to stand up bravely and fight for this country?

NOW is the time for ANY good man (or woman!) to come to the aid of their country.

I wish I disagreed too. But the facts are what the facts are.

1: The GOP is so far left as to be undifferentiated from the average Democrat.
2: Free Republic and every other conservative site on the net is filled with apologists for every unconstitutional, unconservative, immoral and unethical thing the Republicans come up with.
3: Any random reading of threads here and elsewhere document it thoroughly.

The end result does not take a rocket surgeon or the Oracle of Delphi to divine.

I’ll settle for Rand Paul. I will not settle for the lower-tier RINOs though, like Christie, Rubio, or another Bush.

It's not going to matter. The Hildabeast will be elected (95%) chance & if not her it will be a dem.

Lying about Palin is the most popular pastime of many so called ‘conservatives’. Her position was debated for months rehashed endlessly and in no way could by considered amnesty since no actual illegal could mathematically ever get approved as a citizen.

In short, it was ‘Go to the back of the line, but as new people apply (legally) the illegals keep getting pushed back.

And they had to return to their home countries to wait.

One of his constituents might want to send this on to Rubio. (Stolen from today’s Silliness thread but I don’t see anything funny about it.)

AN ILLEGAL POEM
By Illegal Immigrants

I cross river,
Poor and broke,
Take bus,
See employment folk.

Nice man
Treat me good in there,
Say I need
Go see Welfare.

Welfare say,
‘You come no more,
We send cash
Right to your door.’

Welfare checks,
They make you wealthy,
Medicaid
It keep you healthy!

By and by,
Got plenty money,
Thanks to you,
TAXPAYER dummy.

Write to friends
In motherland,
Tell them
‘come, fast as you can’

They come in buses
And Chevy trucks,
I buy big house
With welfare bucks.

They come here,
We live together,
More welfare checks,
It gets better!

Fourteen families,
They moving in,
But neighbor’s patience
Wearing thin.

Finally, white guy
Moves away,
I buy his house,
And then I say,

‘Find more aliens
For house to rent.’
In my yard
I put a tent.

Send for family
They just trash,
But they, too,
Draw welfare cash!

Everything is
Very good,
Soon we own
Whole neighborhood..

We have hobby
It called breeding,
Welfare pay
For baby feeding.

Kids need dentist?
Wife need pills?
We get free!
We got no bills!

TAXPAYER crazy!
He pay all year,
To keep welfare
Running here.

We think America
Darn good place!
Too darn good
For white man race.

If they no like us,
They can go,
Got lots of room
In Mexico.

Rubio was also among the lawmakers who joined Obama for his second closed-door dinner on Wednesday, just two days ago.

I don’t see Rubio ever living in the White House.

He has no "constituents". He does not represent Florida or the people of Florida. He represents himself.

Send it to him. He won't read it. But send it anyway.

Palin is also an amnesty supporter.

Do you have a link for that?

[I have had several rounds with other posters who claim just the opposite -- but without any links.]
