The Great Neck Synagogue has cancelled a planned talk Sunday by activist Pamela Geller, Geller announced Wednesday.
"Due to relentless intimidation, bullying and threats, the Great Neck Synagogue is cancelling my talk," said Geller to Patch. "It is a very sad day for freedom-loving peoples when fascist tactics trump free speech."
A coordinated campaign by prominent officials to cancel Geller's appearence has been underway since last month.
Geller said she received the following statement from synagogue officials, cancelling her invitation to speak to the synagogue's men's club on the “Imposition of Sharia in America.”
"As the notoriety and media exposure of the planned program this Sunday have increased, so has the legal liability and potential security exposure of our institution and it's [sic] member families. In an era of heightened security concerns it is irresponsible to jeopardize the safety of those who call Great Neck Synagogue home, especially our children, even at the risk of diverting attention from a potentially important voice in the ongoing debate. Accordingly, the Great Neck Synagogue Men's Club will no longer be sponsoring the appearance of Pamela Geller this coming Sunday, and no event will be taking place in our facility."
Geller said while she understands the synagogue's action, she deplores the cancellation of her "message of freedom."
"This incident shows how urgently this topic needs to be discussed. Leftist thugs, pushed and prodded by Islamic supremacist Habeeb Ahmed and his co-conspirators, threatened a march on the shul (among other things)," said Geller to Patch.
Labeling Geller the "personification of an Islamophobe," Ahmed, a Nassau Commission on Human Rights member, recommended a petition of the Stationary of Council of Churches, The Interfaith Alliance and Holocaust Center against Geller, according to emails from the interfaith group posted on Geller's Atlas Shrugs blog.
"In mosques and Islamic centers, the most vitriolic jihad supporters and preachers of hate speak freely, said Geller, but "my work that has been consistently in defense of human rights is not allowed to be given a hearing."
Geller was set to be introduced by Greg Buckley, Sr., whose 21-year-old son, Marine Lance Cpl. Greg Buckley was killed in August while serving in Afghanistan. Buckley Sr. is calling for justice in the murder of his son and is seeking prosecution on American soil.

You have to shake your head and ask whether these same Jews would vote for a platform that consist of, among other things:
* That all unearned income, and all income that does not arise from work, be abolished.
* We demand the nationalization of all trusts.
* We demand profit-sharing in large industries.
* We demand a generous increase in old-age pensions.
* We demand the creation and maintenance of a sound middle-class, the immediate communalization of large stores which will be rented cheaply to small tradespeople, and the strongest consideration must be given to ensure that small traders shall deliver the supplies needed by the State, the provinces and municipalities.
* We demand an agrarian reform in accordance with our national requirements, and the enactment of a law to expropriate the owners without compensation of any land needed for the common purpose. The abolition of ground rents, and the prohibition of all speculation in land.

There is a really good piece over on Sultan Knish about the great divide in Jewish thought that came out of the holocaust. One side says “All unforms are bad. All armies are bad. We must simply get along with one another and there will be no more violence.” The other side says “Never again,” and backs it up with sufficient armaments to turn any attack into a suicide run. The Loony Left, aligned with socialist forces everywhere, is found around the world more often than are members of the JPFO. Why? Because it is easier to whine than to accept responsibility for your own safety. Heaven forbid you should actually take responsibility for your own actions!
Cowardice and craven submission to the antisemitic, be they Muslims or Democratic Party officials, is neither safe nor an answer to Islam's 1,400 year history of attacking all who do not “Submit” to Islam. Regretibly, the Synagogue under discussion did submit. Worse yet, they exemplified the worst antisemitic caricature of the cowardly Jew, willing to accept any abuse because of an innate cowardice and unwillingness to defend themselves.
While Jews in that synagogue were busy practicing and perfecting their self-abasement, at another synagogue I know of, there is a social group called “Bagels & Bullets”. Twice a month, they hire a machine gun range and wrap themselves in the Second Amendment (and a lot of gun smoke and streams of spent brass).
These two synagogues exemplify the choice faced by America's Jews. Follow the Torah's commands and plow with a sword in one hand or devolve from freedom back into slavery. The choice before us today is as it has always been - Confidence or Cowardice. The choice can not be avoided because tyranny never rests. True for Muslims, true for home grown tyrants, like Democrats.
Whether we want to face the reality of 1,400 years of Islamic violence or not, Islam exists. What Geller says about Islam is accurate - accept that datum or Islam will eventually attack you. And, your self imposed wall of denial of what Islam is, will in no way protect you from the butchers of Islam.
The cowardice and crawling submissiveness of all too many of my fellow Jews deeply offends me. Why? Because your spineless submission endangers me! Indeed, your submission to Islam endangers all of America because such cowardice deludes Muslims into thinking they can succeed in America.
How dare you submit to tyranny? Is there something about what real Jews know as “The house of bondage” that you JINOs just can't live without?
Here are the reasons that Synagogue's submission to Islam is dangerous:
1. Craven submission at best only avoids the attack of the moment for a moment.
2. Submission encourages more attacks.
3. Being unwilling to fight in ones defense guarantees future attacks.
Summary: An unwillingness to defend ones faith and family are reasons why the term “kike” was invented and applied to such as those “Offen Juden” who cower before Islam. For those unfamiliar with the term “Offen Juden” it is a derogatory reference to the Jews who survived the ovens & gas chambers of the Third Reich and went forth to espouse, work for, and establish socialism in Israel, and in all too much of “Big Sh*ty” America.
I have deliberately chosen offensive but accurate words to describe the behavior of those Jews In Name Only (JINO’s) because their cowardice and unwillingness to defend their own freedom will place those better than they at risk. Muslims, like other predatory beasts, attack the weak - thus that Synagogue's submitting to Muslim?Democratic pressure endangers the rest of us.

Once again, in the country that they ran to, in their escape from the Czar, from Eastern Europe, from the Nazis, the now-free for a generation Jews decide to be the little puppy, lie on their back, and wet the floor, disavowing their First Amendment Rights, bought with the blood of their American-born kinsmen in World War 2.

I believe you have at least one part of your comment(s) wrong and that is about Jews escaping the Russian Czars. In the last several years I have been searching/reviewing the history of my father who died a few months before I was born. It turns out he came to the USA after being wounded in Russia by the fledgling communist agitators. He was a so called ‘white’ Russian which included many Jewish people. These people were not in a revolution against the Czar. In fact my Jewish Russian father was fighting against the revolutionary communist forces overthrowing the Czar.
