President Obama’s second big dinner with Senate Republicans will be at the White House Wednesday night, press secretary Jay Carney said Tuesday.
Carney declined to say which senators will join Obama but Sen. Johnny Isakson (R-Ga.), who is organizing the guest list, said Sens. John Thune (R-S.D.) and Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) will join him at the dinner. Isakson’s office said he would release the full guest list Wednesday.
The dinner follows Obama’s initial outreach to Senate Republicans last month. That dinner grew out of discussions Obama had with Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.).
Carney said topics of discussion will include Obama’s gun control agenda, immigration reform and the White House budget proposal, which is to be released Wednesday morning.
Isakson said he expects the dinner to have a freewheeling agenda.
"There is no agenda,” he told POLITICO. “It's no holds barred. It's an open agenda he didn't set parameters just asked me to invite 12 members of the Senate in the Republican conference.”

I call it the Sean Vanity syndrome. Other than he is an idiot the main reason I cannot stand to watch him is he calls everybody “his friend” and jokes around with them like he is on a game show. He called Carville a good friend. I judge a person’s metal by not only his word, but the people he chooses to call his friends. That is not a word I banter about lightly. I can count the people on one hand I call “a friend”. Everyone else is an acquaintance. These people make me sick.
Just once, I want one to make a national public announcement they will not be seen socially with the Idiot in Chief (or any other dimwit) due to ideological differences, but call me in the office and we’ll talk and not apologize for it the next day.
I cannot understand how a person says he stands for something then goes to DC and starts to hang out with the PoS he purportedly despises. “Keep your friends close and your enemies closer” does not apply here since the GOP never does anything!

I asked earlier where is the GOP and demanding that house be opened as the self professed royal family should not have that house free reign 24 hours but then I read even republicans go there and have dinner on our dime while tonight my kids eat store brand food, and my wife and I eat a sandwich made with cheap deli meat and not a vacation since 2007.

Why would Obama want to off any of these guys? They are better friends to Obama than even some of the Dems it seems like.

I honestly don’t know! Wouldn’t be surprised if it was true—for any president of this country, regardless of party/race/gender...lots of “haters” out there ya know...
His bribe list...I really hate our current CIC. Our enemies are rolling in the floor laughing at not having to spend one dime destroying our country because 0’s much more effective than detonating nukes or flying airplanes into buildings. I’m waiting for his own to turn against him. It’s not a question of if just when...this madness can’t continue forever. Historically we know it’s true because it’s happened time after time.
