Remember when Toomey was the Tea Party candidate to beat Arlen Spector? I guess that isn’t working out. They think that once elected they can do anything they want so as to fit in with the club.

I think that all Internet guns sales already require background checks. The firearm has to be sent to the customer via an FFL, who runs a background check while you wait.
And, it’s not even a Federal issue, in fact.
As long as we allow our rights to be stripped away, we should not be surprised that the elected elite continue to chip away at our freedoms.
If we want the country back, we’ll have to take it...one step, one argument, one vote at a time.
I can’t wait until we start throwing these ***holes in jail for violating our Second Amendment rights.
In 2010, I was certain that Toomey was a conservative and Corbett was a RINO.

RWI, who was it on the Rush thread (if you remember) who claimed “shouldn’t be ‘rough’ on Toomey because he has the highest conservative rating....blah blah blah...in the Senate. Yet here he is, all cozy with WV’s Manchin.
I’m sure during the coffee breaks those two veered off topic to “kill the coal industry and end fracking and then just giggled that now maybe they’ll get invited to the White House concerts too!”

Toomey or any other republican that votes FOR ANY TYPE of gun legislation should be voted out of office. Once again a national background check is nothing more than a national firearms database on Americans. When martial law comes the democrats will know who has guns and they will come for them. And if you don’t believe it can happen, remember Katrina. The US Army confiscated (stole) law-abiding Americans guns from them. They went door to door and if you had a gun the US ARMY took the damn thing........and you didn’t get it back!!
THAT STINKS!!! I’m sick of ‘conservatives’ whom we send to DC, only to have them cave - over and over again - and side with dems! I wish some true conservative would challenge him in the primaries!

And lets NOT forget that while Rand Paul was filibustering (and Ted Cruz was aiding him by asking long winded, well thought out questions on drones, our RINOPat (after making a quickie camera appearance to ask some dimbulb question of Paul) DASHES off to dine with Barry! Such a mover and shaler he is now!

That's pretty much how it looks to me. If someone would have told me three months ago, this is all that would be passing out of the Senate, I would have been pleasantly surprised! They ended up appearing to fight like hell just to get this much from the dem controlled Senate, when it could still be dead on arrival in the House.
As a die hard 2A supporter and owner of lots of scary looking 'black guns', I'll take this as a huge victory. Just be sure to scream and raise hell about it, just to make them think it hurts....
Ha, Joe showed up at our small local Chamber of Commerce annual banquet. I had to laugh because he was hugging all the women and glad-handing the men, but most everyone was trying their best to avoid him. One guy was laughing when he said he went to the restroom to avoid Joe and when he came out he ran into him. Joe is scared. I told him he had better switch parties while he can. I remind him frequently that he wasn’t raised on the values he is now trying to promote. He thinks he can sit on the fence. NOT.
