According to the Wall Street Journal, U. S. Senator from Louisiana Mary Landrieu will vote to move forward gun control legislation now pending in the U. S. Senate.
Reid Sets Gun-Bill Vote for Thursday
Two conservative Democrats who are up for re-election in 2014 held back from immediately joining the GOP effort to stop the Senate from voting on the gun-control bill.
This is an issue that we should debate, said Sen. Mary Landrieu (D., La.). The Louisiana Democrat said she plans to wait until she sees the final language of any bipartisan deal on background checks before deciding whether she will support it.
Sen. Mark Pryor (D., Ark.) told reporters that he wanted to see how this develops before deciding whether to join the Republican filibuster. I know that many senators are working to try to get to some sort of compromise, he said.
There we go... the whore got her price. I wonder what she gets in return...
Vote her out, Louisiana!!
I figured she would. The question is how may of these clowns will also?
Baucus D, MT
Johnson D, SD
Pryor D, Ark
Begich D, AK
Heitkamp D, SD
Haven’t Senators caught on to the false promises, lies and deceit coming from the WH? 0bamacare was lesson enough, no?
Yeah Mary ain’t cheap, but she does have her price
Difference between her and a lady of the streets?
Geography
Trust me, we’re tired of Ms. Piggy and her brother down here in La.
Did she “evolve” yet on SSM?
She is not a terribly clever politician. The main vote is the filibuster. If the bill comes to an actual vote Reid has eough votes to pass it in the Senate without Landrieu. He definitely needs her to vote against the filibuster. The voters of Louisiana will see right through her nonsense. However now that New Orleans has been repopulated with reliable Democrats, she does not need the few rednecks that foolishly helped her in 2008.
No . . . apparently.
Heitcamp is from ND
I know it is confusing - both states have Dakota in the name and are in the same general area.
Johnson has already decided not to run for re-election in 2014.
I suspect that she wants a vote, so that she can go on record voting against it. If it never came to a vote, she wouldn’t get the credit, and she couldn’t wave her no vote in front of the crowds at the election rallies. I suspect that the other Dems in conservative states will adopt the same strategy. Argue in favor of an “open debate”, and then vote against it.
I don’t think that Harry Reid would oppose this strategy, he doesn’t really want a real bill, he just wants to appease the gun grabbers and the leftie deep pockets.
What I want is for her fat ass to be run out of office next year.
Right.
I recall now, he is free to go full ratard.
There is no such thing as a conservative Democrat.
