Obama Overrides Congress to Buy $690 Million Worth of Russian Choppers for Afghan Air Force

Apparently America has too many jobs so Obama will be spending taxpayer money to support Russia’s defense industry on behalf of Afghanistan. And he’s doing so over the bipartisan objections of Congress from both the right and left and a ban on buying them written into the NDAA.

The US Department of Defense said Thursday it plans to sidestep a Congressional ban to purchase 30 helicopters from Russian state-owned defense firm Rosoboronexport, despite objections from US lawmakers who allege that the firm has equipped the Syrian government to commit brutal crimes against civilians.

So. As a reward for all the good little anti-gun goodniks in CT, Obama will award the helicopter contract to guess who?

Sikorsky. In CT!

It does say he can do this, if the SecDef says it is in our national security interest to do so. Why the heck is that even in the law? Do we have secret Russian agents writing our defense bills?

Yup, this is his famous “flexibility” that he promised Putin.

BTW, if the DNC audits B. Hussein, they will find that all of his political stunts are aimed at generating “donations” for Obama’s RETIREMENT SLUSH FUND.

When you’ve got John Cormyn and Rosa DeLauro on the same side, that’s as close to a consensus that you can imagine.

I doubt those two have ever agreed on anything before. If that's not a wake-up call, what is?

All the House has to do is refuse to fund [pay for them]them. But will they? No. That would incur standing up to him and would result in obama cutting Boner off.

The same holds true for everything else obama decides to do, including announcing when the time comes that he is going to be president for life.

I wouldn’t think buying Russian weapons would be in our interest. We won’t be able to support those machines, and it is putting money (that we supposedly don’t have) in Russia’s military.
Obama spends any time he is not vacationing either trying to further bankrupting us, or trying to restrict our rights. Maybe we should just encourage him to stay on vacation all the time. It would be less costly for us, even though he wastes a lot on his entertainment.
