Former Congresswoman Gabby Giffords was nearly killed more than 2 years ago by a man with a gun. Today, her brain injuries make speaking difficult, and yet she has become an active spokeswoman for new restrictions on guns.
Ironically she has not lost her love of guns. Target practice is still a form of entertainment at her mother's house deep in the Arizona desert. Her husband Mark Kelly uses pots and water bottles as targets, while Giffords watches from the patio with her mother cheering him on.

Yup, so does her hubby.
Wonder what’s the status of his “assault weapon”.
CNN damage control on behalf of Mark Kelly. FUMK.
Progressives leaders (i.e., tyrants) write laws to control other people.
I own a couple of hammers and I am a proud member of the “hammer culture” here.
Oh, isn’t that cute!
Mark Kelly is a Navy veteran, allegedly a smart man.
And he is a self professed expert in guns and gun safety.
1. He holds a pistol like cops on TV, with his left hand being used as a ‘rest’ for the gun.
2. He is shooting at relatively close range at a big square rock face....with no eye protection.
Not a big deal...but he might want to ‘brush up’ on things before he tells everyone else what to do.
I can’t stand these two grifters, her and her traitor husband!!!
On my dad’s list of Things You Must Never Do With A Gun, shooting at a rock was in the top 5.
Is he crazy or stupid?
We had a huge stack of railroad ties that we put targets on.
No stray bullets/shrapnel, ever.
“he is a self professed expert in guns and gun safety”
****Kelly isn’t shooting with just any kind of gun he’s using a Glock 9 millimeter handgun, the same kind of gun his wife was shot with.
“But in that case it had a magazine that held 33 rounds,” he said. “This, when it’s full, holds 17.”
The gun is actually Giffords’ Kelly said he gave it to his wife as a gift years ago.*****
Do all libs believe there are not deaths in the first ten rounds, that deaths only occour in the last 10 rounds in a magazine?
During the shooting in Tucson, Gabby was hit first, then another person wounded, then Judge Roll shot dead then others.
IF the shooter had been limited to 7 rounds he would probably used a .45 in which Gabby would be dead, the second victim probably dead, and Judge Roll still dead, then others. Then he would probably have pulled out a second firearm and continued shooting like the Edmond PO shooter did using two .45 National Guard pistols.
If the shooter had been limited to a .357 mag revolver, Gabby would be dead, the second person dead, and Judge Roll still just as dead, then three others. Dropping that pistol he could then have pulled out the second gun and continued shooting like the Border Ruffians at the time of the Civil War in Kansas who carried an average of four to six pistols.
A good point is being made by those commenting at the website: According to the husband, that is Gabby’s gun. I wish her well, but, with her injury, would she herself pass a background check for gun ownership?
I wish they'd go away and stay away.
Everything written by them and about them including the above is BS....and I don't like BS crammed down my throat.
I bet they don’t have a problem finding ammunition
...stupid astronaut ping....
Important though unusual rule about guns:
If you are ever around a friend who is armed, in the field, it is essential to find out if they have ophiophobia (abnormal fear of snakes.)
It is almost a unique rule, but one that is serious as a heart attack, because it presents a life-threatening danger to them and everyone else around them.
Because when somebody has ophiophobia, if they are armed and in the presence of a snake, they utterly lose their common sense.
I have seen highly intelligent, disciplined, well trained soldiers totally lose it in the presence of a snake. And they will use any weapon near their grasp in the worst possible way.
One example was a senior NCO, standing in a rocky dry river bed, pointing a .45 at a snake almost between his feet, while a dozen other screaming and running people were yelling at him to hold his fire. “It’s okay,” he said, “the snake is on sand!” Yeah, about a half an inch of sand over a round river rock.
Another one ruined his expensive chrome cavalry sabre by chopping a *rubber* snake into small pieces on a concrete floor, with a two handed, terrified and screaming swing.
They are the new James and Sarah Brady
I find it very socialist that she never changed her name to show she was married.
(hyphens do not count)
You are right about the meme. Obama is draging coffins and trying to blackmail senators with pleas from newtown useful idiots. What they really want is their children back. No law can ever fix that.
I feel sorry for Gabby. She suffers a horrendous injury, life ending for most, and gets stuck with an a’hole like Mark Kelly who will not let go of his 15 minutes of fame. He couldn’t get it in the shuttle program because it had become too accepted an occupation and most of the adventure had been lessened. Now he has a disabled wife, but he can mooch off her disability and try to remain in the spotlight.
Take care of your wife Mark. Seeing the before and after pictures of her are just so sad. She needs someone to take care of her, and she married an all-about-me jerk.
Because Gabby Giffords was tragically wounded, I won’t knock her. But I do intend to defend myself, and I will continue to own guns.
