PETA Plans to Fly Drones That Would 'Stalk Hunters'
US News and World Report ^ | April 8, 2013 | Jason Kobler

PETA plans to acquire one or more drones to be used to harass deer and dove hunters. They are looking at the CineStar Octocopter, which can carry a camera for up to five minutes. This likely will be a one-shot operation because the first group of hunters they try to use it on will blow it out of the air!

Some of the PETA female protesters don’t look over 20.

I foresee lots of in-flight drone hacking in the future. I wonder if a PETA drone can be made to scream “Banzai!” as it goes after its PETA creators.

“They have 15-20 minutes of airtime. Good luck PETA”

I think that is 15-20 min. of camera film time. Maybe I am wrong as I read it fast.

This one is worthy of its own thread!

Citizens Shoot Down Animal Rights Group’s Surveillance Drone

A remote-controlled aircraft owned and operated by an animal rights group called SHARK, was reportedly shot down near Broxton Bridge Plantation, South Carolina, on Sunday.

Steve Hindi, president of SHARK (SHowing Animals Respect and Kindness), said his group was preparing to launch its Mikrokopter drone to video what he called a live pigeon shoot on Sunday when law enforcement officers and an attorney claiming to represent the privately-owned plantation near Ehrhardt tried to stop the aircraft from flying.

Hindi said the animal rights group decided to send the drone up anyway but that seconds after it hit the air “numerous shots rang out.” “As an act of revenge for us shutting down the pigeon slaughter, they had shot down our copter.” He claimed the shooters were “in tree cover” and “fled the scene on small motorized vehicles.”

Just what IS the PC way to display a PETA Drone on a trophy wall?

BTW, if PETA is hunting the hunters, then where do they go to get a hunter hunting license?

Will it cost them a lot of ‘Bucks?’

States should start passing drone harassment laws. That is, the use of drones to harass and annoy people engaged in lawful activities, on public or private lands.

That’s the first thing that popped in to my feeble little brain since I got an email from LuckyGunner offering these for sale the other day. Hope peta is buying their drones in bulk. (I don’t mean their volunteers either!)

Someone needs to tell the PETA folks that the best way to deter deer hunters is to don a big set of antlers and a furry deer skin coat, then walk slowly through the woods, exhaling loudly from your nostrils now and then.

No one from PETA attempting this method has ever reported back, that it didn't work.
