Demographics Favor the GOP — Unless They Blow It
Investor's Business Daily ^ | 04/04/2013 | M. STANTON EVANS

No one could possibly guess it from the TV talk or coverage by the daily press corps, but the Republican Party stands today at the threshold of historic political victories. The forces pushing things in this direction are so strong that the permanent campaign of Barack Obama, the public sector unions and the like can't prevail against them. The liberals this time are on the wrong side of history, and there is little they can do on their own to change the almost certain downfall that awaits them. However, nothing in politics is absolutely certain, and there is an X factor in the equation that could keep the GOP from a victorious future. This barrier, ironically, is the party's own alleged leadership in the Republican National Committee, a swarm of GOP "consultants", and top echelons of Congress — where the preferred mode of battle appears to be piecemeal surrender.

My view is that every year 2.5 million (mostly old, white, majority R voting) voters die and are replaced by (young, mostly minority, heavily D voting) voters.

A very large fraction of those under 30 are the product of progressive controlled educational system, and get their info from the progressive controlled MSM and internet portals.

Agreed---another factor is that hyphenated voting blocs have multiplied into powerful pressure groups----flexing their muscles to push self-serving agendas by cowing pols into submission.

"Gimmee Zombies" pressure pols with a list of gimmes they'll exchange for blocs of votes.

CASE IN POINT: amnesty.

It's an outrage that our govt and our reps side with illegals against the interests of taxpaying citizens. PLUS illegals have their home countries advancing their interests----cunningly throwing pressure groups over our borders. The Third World salivates over the avalanche of US govt tax dollars coming their (exchanged for voting blocs).

SALIVATING THIRD WORLD COUNTRIES W/ PRESSURE GROUPS IN THE US (here illegally): Argentina, Belize, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominica Republic, Ecuador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico (stateside), Salvador, Spain, Uruguay, Venezuela.

I wonder about these powerful hyphenated special interest groups. Just how large are they really? Are they astroturfing with a loud megaphone or are there really large voting blocs of people behind them?

A case in point is the gay lobby. Surveys suggest that gays are less than 2% of the population, but politicians act like they're 25%. What would really happen if our politicians stood up to the megaphone effect and let these supposed groups make good on their threats?

Are they afraid that it would be real after all, or are they afraid of exposing the hollowness of it all?

For sure there’s lotsa hyphenated agit/prop going on-—particularly from the latino lobby.

And they hide behind numerous groups with grand-sounding names.

Bottom-line——they got sap-happy, vote-crazed Pols convinced they get their blocs to the polls.
