What is his theology now? I thought his Purpose Driven Life was ok.
Suicide is the antithesis of the Purpose Driven Life.
Suicide is the ultimate act of selfisheness, all about “me”.
God walks us out onto a plank and says jump.
We do not understand His purpose...
He demands our obedience... not our comprehension of his purpose for us.
I suggest a reading of Oswald Chambers to cleanse the palate of those who suggest we serve His purpose.
We did Purpose Driven LIfe study here in our home with a group of neighbors. It was through that study that our friend came to know The Lord.
I don’t argue with PDL...since then Warren has gone off the edge in dodging sin as sin....
But I really don’t think this is the thread to go theological.
For now, I sincerely pray for this distraught family and pray that God will use it somehow to His Glory...
