For the second time in three days, prosecutors announced corruption charges Thursday against a New York state lawmaker, this time accusing a legislator of accepting bribes from businessmen who wanted his help in running and maintaining adult day-care centers.
A 36-page complaint charged Sen. Eric Stevenson, who represents the 79th District in the Bronx, with accepting about $22,000—most of it stuffed into envelopes and handed over at a number of secretly recorded meetings—between April 2012 and this month. Stevenson, 46, who was elected in 2010, was charged with fraud, conspiracy and bribery and could face at least 20 years in prison if convicted. …
Among other things, Stevenson is charged with using his position to sponsor legislation that declared a three-year moratorium on the construction of new adult day-care centers in New York City, but which exempted those operated by his co-defendants: Igor Belyansky, Rostislav Belyansky, Igor Tsimerman and David Binman. Such centers offer meals, activities and supervision to adults who cannot be on their own, many of whom have medical issues that need close monitoring. …

Stuffed into envelopes and handed over at secret meetings. At least, DC has the sense to conceal its bribes and kickbacks in the form of massively funded government giveaways, much of which, by design according to the DC way, undoubtedly finds its way back to secret accounts.
Dollars to doughnuts if the Feds. decide to look into those “adult day-care centers” they’ll find a wholebunchalotta medicare/medicaid fraud as well. Happened in Queens a while ago...an “elder community center” that was owned by a doctor....whose office was upstairs from the center. Guess who were most of his medicare/medicaid patients......each with dozens of “procedures”...
Yeah. That’s what they get .... and to justify it to their little creepy selves they ‘do’ for the poor - while stealing for themselves.
Or they ‘save’ citizens from themselves - like not letting them drink too much sugar.
If I was one of the public officials names in these indictments, I would be embarrassed by how cheap the story makes me look. What kind of @sshole sells his soul for $22,000? LOL.

Party affiliation is also very important to the MSM - they never list “Democrat” in connection with “perp.”
If they had conducted “Sting” operations on all the legislators before announcing charges, then they could have probably nailed at least half of them. The corruption in politics is off the chart now days.
It doesn't freaking matter to you. It DOES matter to the low-information voter who reads these things and always has to guess at Party affiliation because the liberals who write these pieces cover for the Democrat Party.
