To make a long story short, if you don’t already own a firearm, you may want to look into getting one, getting trained up on how to use it and then spending time at the range familiarizing yourself with it. You’re on your own.

Good luck on finding any ammo. The smart ones got their guns and ammo a long time ago.

Unfortunately there’s now a lot of Americans who favor the death penalty for the pre-born but not for those convicted of capital crimes.

Abortion......it's for the children.

private police is how the rest of the world works.

The "rest" being the 1% elites, of course. The little people can just wait for the cops to show up with the chalk and the yellow tape.

...*if* citizens are allowed to protect themselves.

Why would you ask permission?

Here’s an idea: make the transition from depending on government employees to defend you to depending on the safety of a reliable firearm.

Union cops keep getting raises and improved retirements. Cities and towns can’t afford that, so the budget takes a hit. Year after year.

Pretty soon, small towns and cities will have only a skeleton crew of police, with just a few on shift at any given time. The same goes for fire departments.

This is not gonna end well. Guaranteed.

California debt is increasing daily and other states are watching what isn't being done.
But unions and pensions are out of control and the planners knew this would happen,
but wanted to live up the popularity for the moment.

A quote from Paul Harvey comes to mind:
“WHEN YOUR OUTGO EXCEEDS YOUR INCOME, YOUR UPKEEP WILL BE YOUR DOWNFALL.”

I live here, I would guess 85% of those paying for private security are lifetime Liberal Democrats. They have names like Ron, Gwen and Moira...they go see their Ivy-Cal-U. Chicago friends in San Francisco and travel first class back home to their families.

They realize that making $500K means little here after losing 55% to the Feds and State, plus property, sales and other taxes and fees, you end up netting 35-40%.

They worked hard, though you could recreate Westchester, Darien, Weston or Fairfax in CA...what you forget is that there are seething savages in the flats...

The reckoning here will be epic...saved an extra 20 gallons of gas...to get the F out when the SHTF. They will watch their yuppie, organic, play date and Tahoe lives go up in smoke.
