Rhu laments: So who's your choice, Chris 37?? Give us someone who you think can win? Sorry, but it gets a little frstrating reading the negative comments on FR regarding our options especially seeing how Tankles is licking her chops in anticipation of 2016.

Carson screwed up by apologizing. Worse, he screwed up -- and zillions of "conservatives" and Republicans screw this up -- by putting the gay marriage issue in the wrong context. It isn't whether or not gays "should be able to" get married or adopt children or take positions of leadership in youth groups like the Boy Scouts or force your local school to include "education" about the gay lifestyle or take part in on-line matchmaking services. THE REAL ISSUE is that Americans, every single one of us, HAS THE RIGHT TO REFUSE to play along privately AND publicly, in business and in social choices.

Until elections are monitored and vote ginning and manufacturing are openly and aggressively attacked for the cheating they are, and IDs are required at the polls, ALL OF THIS is totally absolutely moot. Get it through your head that MOST REBULAR, PRODUCTIVE AMERICANS are like we FReepers. Don't believe it? Go to the Reader Comments section of any mainistream news place online, whether its CBS, ABC, Yahoo, LA Times, or any other supposedly "neutral" news source, and you will see that generally common sense moral right-thinkers like us, though not necessarily self-decribed "conservatives" and certainly not self-declared "Republicans," dominate. Read the comments at the Blaze, for example, on this very story that's linked. There are a very large number of comments from people who think Carson shouldn't have apologized.

I'm getting a little frustrated at conservatives and "Republicans" stupidly mum on the real issue, the one that is at the root of why Americans are so opposed (though the MSM makes it look otherwise) to the gay agenda. Down deep, the bulk of average Americans recognize that it isn't about gays being able to reap all the legal benefits of marriage (which they could do ANYWAY with certain legal arrangments). It's about how "gay rights" is about TAKING AWAY OUR RIGHT OF REFUSAL TO PARTICIPATE.

EVERY SINGLE ONE OF US has the God-given right to peacefully tell those homosexuals who want to adopt children to find some other adoption agency, thank you very much; to find some other youth group, thank you very much; to go to some other online dating service, thank you very much; etc. Let gays pretend to get married if they want -- but if a church, a photographer, a bakery, a hotel, a reception site, a tailor, a florist, a preacher, or anyone else wants to refuse to be involved BECAUSE of the homosexuality involved, that should be their right.

As it is now, the government and gay agenda works to FORBID adoption agencies from excluding gay men as adoptive parents, to FORBID youth groups from telling homosexuals who want to get involved to take a hike; to FORBID matchmaking companies, as happened to EHarmony dot com, from only matching heterosexuals and telling gay people to take their business elsewhere -- EHarmony was FORCED to include gay matchmaking in its service! THAT is what this is all about. It isn't about whether or not you think gay people should be able to get married. It's about whether or not you think regular, peaceful people have the right to tell gay folks in their community to go be openly gay somewhere else because we don't want it around our kids and our families.

Here's the deal, Rhubarbk: The Republican party has for so long betrayed Americans who have in good conscience voted Republican to restrain government, that it has permanently LOST its base. It's too late, it is dead and gone, and anyone serious about taking this country back must recognize that a THIRD PARTY that will transcend the negative "liberal" (read media consumer comments and see how many Americans truly despise "liberals," not neccessarily "Democrats") and "Republican" stereotype labels is the ONLY path to recovery. For crying out loud, Romney was on record saying he believed that gay men "whou loved each other" should be able to adopt children (by which he really meant the government should be able to force adoption agencies to cooperate) and Romney was ALL FOR getting rid of don't Ask Don't Tell in the military. The GOP is dead and gone. Voting for its candidates, as personified by Romney, is voting against conservative limited government interests 100 percent. DUMP THE GOP and start clamoring for politicians who insist on voter ID and election monitoring.

Well I certainly stepped in it didn’t I?

Yes, I am frustrated as I stated due mainly to the fact that it seems like each and everytime a conservative gains a little ground on the left the ObamaMedia crushes them like a bug. For example a day or two after I sent money to the Cain campaign here comes the media with their load of BS regarding all of the women in his past which destroyed a good man and his chances at POTUS. And where are those women, the media and Gloria “It’s All About Me” Alred after the fact. Gone like poot in the wind!

I won’t even mention election reform. It just ain’t gonna happen with this bunch in power.
