U.S. to Send Missile-Defense Battery to Guam By JULIAN E. BARNES And ADAM ENTOUS

WASHINGTON—The U.S. is preparing to deploy an advanced missile-defense system to defend American military bases in the Pacific, a defensive signal indicating the Pentagon doesn't believe the threat of a possible North Korean attack is likely to fade quickly.

The U.S. will deploy the system, known as a Terminal High-Altitude Area Defense battery, or THAAD, to Guam to protect against short- and medium-range missiles from North Korea. It will be the first global deployment of the system.

Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel said North Korea has threatened attacks against the U.S. base in Guam, as well as Hawaii and the West Coast.

"We have to take those threats seriously," Mr. Hagel said in a speech at the National Defense University on Wednesday.

I don’t believe representative Johnson FROM GEORGIA was consulted on this one. [Georgians should be ashamed for sending a man to congress who is not as smart as a fifth grader, but the voters who put him in are probably less educated than he is.]

While they approved of Jimmy Carter giving reactors to these idiots via the IAEA in 1994.

This is a Democrat caused problem and looks like they’ll have to use Ronald Reagan’s solution to prevent it.

Why woulsn’t we already have a missile defense system in the Pacicific? Our enemies know for sure that we don’t have one there right now.

This whole NKorea thing seems laughable and nothing more than a new leader trying to talk tough. At the same time though, under Obama’s watch, I wouldn’t be surprised if they actually pulled off some of the threats they are making, the latest being to nuke the hell out of us. It just seems like if we had a president who A: didnt hate our country and B: had some balls this wouldn’t be happening.

If they are crazy enough to do something, it’s going to be interesting how the ‘rats weave their way to blame this on Bush and/or Republicans.

Here is an interesting article looking at both the NK and the Iranian nuclear issue and our response/knowledge. Lots of long informative comments below the article.

If they do launch a nuked up missile and it explodes over the USA it’ll render us back to the 19th century.

I wonder if the NK is the real reason - or is there more we are not told...
