Bill O’Reilly tonight responded to criticisms from the right over his commentary last week that gay marriage opponents need to do more than just “thump the Bible” if they want to win the argument. After a Talking Points Memo largely focused on mocking liberal media attempts to gin up a feud between himself and Rush Limbaugh, O’Reilly brought on Laura Ingraham, who actually told O’Reilly he was wrong in saying what he said. O’Reilly was stunned with Ingraham, shouting over her and telling her “I’m disappointed in you.”

Ingraham first surprised O’Reilly by agreeing that there actually is a feud of sorts going on between him and people like Limbaugh, given Limbaugh’s harsh condemnation of O’Reilly’s commentary. O’Reilly dismissed the idea he and Limbaugh are enemies, saying “I don’t care what he says, he can say whatever he wants.”
Ingraham agreed with O’Reilly that gay marriage opponents are not always good at making their case, but said O’Reilly unnecessarily insulted them. O’Reilly insisted he made an “honest point” about gay marriage, and shocked Ingraham by saying that opponents cannot cite the Bible in a policy argument. Ingraham told O’Reilly he was being disrespectful, which led O’Reilly to tell Ingraham he’s “disappointed” in her.
O’Reilly scolded her for criticizing her for his “accurate description,” saying he doesn’t really care whether it was unhelpful or if anyone took offense, it was an “accurate and honest attack.”

O’Reilly, Colbert, Maher, and Stewart are all blowhard comedians, their pronouncements are meaningless.
Once again, I’m glad I don’t have cable or Fox News (specially BOR.)
No wonder his wife divorced him. Arrogant control freak who even hired a so-called independent therapist, who was making recommendations on custody issues, as a child care provider.

I haven’t watched him for about 7-8 years, simply because, it’s all about him, and the opinions of other have to be wrong if they dare disagree with him. And, his decision to be “ambiguous” about his stance on most matters, instead of standing for his principles, and was more about trying to draw a bigger audience instead of mostly conservatives. When the reason for having a show becomes more about getting a bigger audience, then the content of the show and the host, won’t matter much.
I saw the fiery segment and desperately wished Laura would have gotten up and taken her mic off and left the set. Let the bullying jackass sit there and pontificate to his heart’s delight. Ever notice that the more threatened he is by someone’s disagreeing with him, the louder and more interruptive he gets?
Frankly, I think he’s getting worse. He appears to be losing it these days. He’s getting to be unwatchable for me, and I’ve always had a high tolerance for him despite his aggravating ways. He’s moved from the “must watch” column to the “optional if I can’t find anything better to watch” column.
I guess I’ll move on permanently. I’ll miss the Bernie Goldberg and Dennis Miller segments, but oh well.
BTW, I LOVE that Rush refers to him as Ted Baxter!! ROFL!
Laura Ingraham is just as bad as BLOWreilly for appearing on his show.
Divorced him and married a cop. He certainly paid for the loofah incident.
When I bought my dish last year, I was excited that I would
be able to watch FOX news for the first time in years.
Wow, how it has been so disappointing. While I never cared for the Obloviator, I thought there would be some decent presentations by others, but I see little worth watching
I rarely watch any news now.
O’Reilly should not be even mentioned in the same sentence with Rush. Rush is an original thinker. O’Reilly is a loudmouth gasbag.
I quit watching the clown as he changes his mind more then any prostitute. Hell, Shepherd, plus that fat liberal with suspenders and then Alan C. who appears/speaks like he’s gay or has a mouth full of—have driven me to old Gene Autry westerns.
Not many women divorce a guy and then marry a cop. It usually goes the other way.
I remember how refreshing Fox once seemed. It’s all gone downhill now.

Red Eye is the only show worth watching anymore.
