Yeah, right. Just like ObamaCare their efforts to suppoedly lower costs results in the costs doubling or quadrupling

It may end up costing DHS dearly...hardly what you would call lowering the costs.

These preparations are to wage war on American Citizens. These are not law enforcement levels of ammunition accumulation.

Having that much ammunition arounsd without military security means it is beggng to be stolen....but by whom?

"significantly lower costs."

Believable.
Like the Obama daughters flying coach from the Bahamas to Aspen.

So they just spent $1,000 per uniform for TSA agents. Penny wise, pound foolish.

Aren’t they buying massive quantities of guns and ammo to create a shortage for citizen gun owners?

The US military may not fire upon US citizens, but I wouldn’t put it past the Chinese or Nork soldiers...

Yea, I'm sure they think everything is honky dory. They are proving it by buying in bulk when the market for bullets is through the roof.

That makes about as much economic sense as the Obama administration...

Yep, I lay awake nights sweating that the ChiComm apes will float over the sea in bathtubs and invade America.

"In 2010, the agency purchased 148,314,825 rounds. In 2011, 108,664,054 rounds were purchased; and in 2012, 103,178,200 rounds."

It's estimated that there are somewhere between 200 million ansd 300 million firearms in the US. If just 150 million are fired occasionally, and not in the attic somewhere gathering dust and cobwebs, and if everyone bought one (1) box of 50 rounds for each one since Newtown, that's -- ummmmm 7.5 billion rounds. Since December.

“TSA will provide your initial uniform issue consisting of:
3 long sleeve shirts
3 short sleeve shirts
2 pairs of trousers
2 ties, and one belt
sweater
socks,
and jacket.”

Let’s say $75/shirt=$300 + $100/sweater=$100 + $100/trousers=$200 + $20/tie=$40 + $20/belt=$20 + $40/socks=$40 + $300/jacket=$300

Do these prices seem accurate for Mexican made clothing bought in bulk (50,000 orders)?

Uh huh, my best (and only) suit plus shoes, belt, shirt, tie and underwear could be replaced at today’s prices for about three fifths of the TSA uniform cost. Government procurement !!

Big Sis hasn’t answered the question as to just why she needs that many rounds of ammunition. To keep us in line perhaps?

Then it shouldn’t concern you as to why the DHS is buying enough bullets to shoot each man, woman, and child, 7 times over, since the US military wouldn’t fire upon their own people and the treasonous wouldn’t somehow bring the Chinese and Nork’s over surreptitiously.

You can go back to sleep now. Sleep well.

They said target practice, at one point. Why’d they need hollow point bullets?

More lies from the Obama administration.

Clearly, the ammunition is to be used against Americans.
