Don’t worry: there are a lot of Democrats in the Senate in tough re-election campaigns. It’ll never pass the Senate. :)

Under
Article II, Section 2 of the Constitution, Senate ratification of a treaty requires that "two thirds of the Senators present concur."
If the Senate ratifies the U.N. arms control treaty, we will have lots of RINOs to blame along with Democrats. I seem to recall that some of the former as well as some of the latter are up for reelection next year.

True...but a difference is that the senate majority leader is not fully on board this time. Gun ownership has gone up dramatically among women lately (dem constituency) and also is up about 10 percent among DEMOCRAT men.
Sure they’ll try but this will be harder than obamacare for them and they will never get the House on board.

Dont worry: there are a lot of Democrats in the Senate in tough re-election campaigns. Itll never pass the Senate. :) It only takes 34 Senators out of a minimum quorum.
Feeling so confident now?

-What they said about Obamacare in March 2010.... Obamacare didn't need 2/3 of the Senate to pass. This does.
