With an announcement of sweeping proposals to curb gun violence, Connecticut lawmakers said they are hoping to send a message to Congress and other state legislators across the country: A bipartisan agreement on gun control is possible.

Legislative leaders on Monday revealed proposals spurred by the Dec. 14 Newtown school shooting following weeks of bipartisan, closed-door negotiations. A vote is expected Wednesday in the General Assembly, where Democrats control both chambers, making passage all but assured.

Well, I’m gonna do my part. I’m gonna make damned well sure that anything I buy doesn’t come from CT. That includes any more Colt firearms.....

And the rapists and robbers and home invaders are celebrating. Yes, the message has gone out to the rest of the country alright. It reads, “ stay the f@rk out of Connecticut, and don’t vote Democrat or something just as moronic will happen in your state.”

Politicians dancing on the graves of children............

Nothing they are proposing would have stopped the massacre at Newtown.

You can’t legislate away mentally deranged people. They will always be among us.

That’s a big reason to stay alert, stay armed.

It can’t be “bipartisan” without a party being partisan.

If the GOP were pro-2nd, then they wouldn’t compromise on their values.

Catch-22

So, what's it gonna be, Colt?
We love you. We love your guns.
Your home state now says it is against the law for us to buy most of your products.
In fact, we will now need their permission to buy ammo the ones they allow us to keep.
The boot on our necks is getting heavier.
What is your response?

I certainly expect so. I won’t do business with them if they accept doing business in that state.

This isn’t your free country of the past. We are so inundated by evil, everyone must make a stand. They are either with us, or they are with evil.

Wow! andy coomo had better get busy so that connectikkkut doesn’t surpass new yawk as the state with the MOST unconstitutional “firearms safety” laws.

connectikkut was already a slave state. Now its just a worse slave state.

(An “ammunition eligibility certificate” required to buy ammo)

This is the most awful part of the law, and just the start. Now it’s the government that decides to give you rights. You don’t start with any! The way the Constitution was written is that the citizen retains all rights except for those that the citizen makes the government eligible to.
