Yep I agree. But, at this point legalization will not work because the Cartels won’t give up the monopoly
Notice, in some of the places like Thailand where drugs used to be produced they are not. Other places like Singapore used to be big distribution centers; no more. Why is that? Because the governments made it too risky to produce or distribute narcotics. The same is true to a lesser extent of Turkey.
Essentially the US needs to do what the Chinese did in the 19th century to deal with opium addicts creted by the British only go one swtep further
The Chinese simply executed addicts in mass. The US needs to close its border and then treat any cartel members within the US like spies and simply kill them. Put small time users in prison for years with NO outside contact to pass drugs to them.
Dry up the demand disrupt the supply.
Exactly. California elects every liberal running for office, but they don’t legalize marijuana? Only because illegal drug money runs the Democrat party. They aren’t going to give up that money.
Its time to try the alternative - personal responsibility. Get government out of the prohibition business.
Yep I agree. But, at this point legalization will not work because the Cartels wont give up the monopoly
Rumrunners didn't willingly give up their monopoly - it was taken from them by the free market, a more powerful force than any government (at least, any government that this Land of the Free should tolerate).
Mass killings? This is America. That doesn’t fly here.
The Cartels maintain their “monopoly” by government fiat. Take that away and they’re in the poor house. Think of all the rats who’d flip on them for past crimes and murders just for a couple of bucks.
