Johns Hopkins University is standing by Dr. Ben Carson, even after the neurosurgeon’s anti-gay remarks, Dennis O’Shea, executive director of the university’s media relations said.

“Dr. Carson is a distinguished Johns Hopkins surgeon and scientist chosen to speak at the School of Medicine diploma ceremony because of his extraordinary accomplishments as a neurosurgeon and his many contributions as an advocate for education and children,” O’Shea said in an email to The Huffington Post. “He was not asked to speak because of his personal political, religious or social views. His personal views are just that, his own. When he speaks about them, he is not speaking on behalf of Johns Hopkins.”

*****Apparently the group that wanted Dr. Carson out consisted of eight (8) med students*****

These 8 ‘students’ should have their names published. Clearly they are unable to read and/or separate ‘feelings’ from facts. Lacking such critical thinking, they will never reach the level of accomplishment as Dr. Carson. We need to know who they are and avoid putting our health in their hands.

How interesting. It seems only one formally associated with Johns Hopkins who didn’t defend Ben Carson was Ben Carson, when he offered to step aside as speaker.

Dr. Carson has hopefully learned a lesson in Politics 101.

It scares me that we are losing touch with people like Dr. Ben Carson who are able to accurately identify Truth and wisdom in the midst of a slew of insidiously misleading propaganda. They are not bothering to speak out as much because the world is going in such an appallingly ignorant direction that the truly intelligent and aware consensus is becoming, “Why bother trying to fix a thoroughly corrupted state; where would one even begin to approach sharing light with minds of such loopy reasoning?” It’s like trying to verbally teach a clam that if he had eyes, he could see the color green... Anyway, I wish I could somehow share any strength I may have with him when he is confronted with sensational media rhetoric designed to purposely mislead and serve as stumbling blocks. The most we can hope to do at this point is stick to black and white objective facts that clearly back positions. IN any other case, things always turn into an opinion based argument where sides are chosen between the lesser of two supposed evils (one being over judgmental and the other being completely hedonistic). He should stick to: the institution of what we currently refer to as marriage, is one inextricably defined by certain specifics. The basis of his argument at this time should be one of proper classification and definition. If a new association between partners demands to be investigated, then do that and make provisions based on the NEW SET of criteria. This would be better than calling a house rental agreement, a constitutionally defined, “marriage,” between man and house, yaknow?!

You are right. That said I am not opposed to making civil contracts easier for anyone to go into just don’t call it marriage and don’t restrict it to the assumption of sexual arrangements. Right now so called civil unions are being treated as if they are more binding than marriage where biological parents are concerned. This is just crazy and is one reason why I do not support the “civil union” remedy. A non biological parent should not receive more rights than a biological parent that does nothing more than decide they are no longer gay.

Ephesians 6:12

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in heavenly places.

We are not against the homosexuals, or gay people themselves... for what we are against is the homosexual sin and spirit.

Yes people, no matter how you look at it, homosexuality is a demonic spirit.

We should all love the person, the individual who is homosexual, but are gainst the sin of homosexuality, the demonic spirit that is homosexuality.

I agree. I’ve never been against gays in the sense of hating them for we all have our crosses to bear but what they ask for is not love of person or tolerance but love and domination of their sin their imperfection.

We will never win this war or battle against this thing unless we reconize it for what it is...

Homosexuality is a demonic satanic spirit that diguese it's selve as love.

We can not war or battle against this thing is our own flesh, blood, or human power or efforts.

This thing must be won and war against with God's help and the holy spirit.

We must reconize that they either allowed this spirit to come into them, or they are held in bondage to this thing.

The thing to start with is to have a healthy relationship with God throught Jesus Christ, and much, much prayer.

What they are blinded to is that some see or reconize sex or relate sex with love.

Greed is another spirit, corruption is another spirit.

Does anyone think that the devil will be comining to people at a red ugly thing with a pitch fork ?

The bible tells us that the devil comes to us and tries to deceive us as a " Angel of light "

The greatest trick, scheme the devil uses to decieve us with is the mastery of disguses.

He's very subtle.

The one who does battle for us is God, in much , much prayer, and is needs be much fasting.

Also ?

In 1 John 4:1 the bible tells us to test the spirits.

Beloved, believe not every spirit, but test the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

The victory over this will not be won with human power, human efforts, human intelligence.

I agree that prayer is important but I think human intelligence and human action by stepping in faith with the armor of God is important.

1 John 4 (King James Version)

4. Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

2. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:

3. And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

The spirit of the anti-christ will deny Jesus's divinity, Jesus being born of super natural means, born of a virgin, that God came to earth as a man, God in the flesh ( Jesus Christ Messiah ) and died, and rose again, and he set down at the right hand of the throne of God, God's right hand of authority.

Proverbs 3

3. Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:

4. So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.

5. Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

6. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

7. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil.

Trust not on your own intellect, reasoning, power, understanding.
Ask God for wisdom, and he will give it gladly and freely.

Trust in the Lord will all, with all, with all your heart, and lean not onto you own understanding, your own intellect, your own reasoning.

Yes, you lean on and trust God he will give you understanding, intellect that is from him , wisdom that is from him that is beyond this world.

“Johns Hopkins University is standing by Dr. Ben Carson, even after the neurosurgeon’s anti-gay remarks...through such insidious tactics do the likes of MSNBC spread their hatred and bigotry - Dr. Carson never made “anti-gay remarks” - he stood up for, defended traditional marriage - until conservatives learn to jump on such lies every time they're put out, they'll continue to be seen negatively.....”

Exactly correct. He simply spoke the truth. What MSNBC is saying, in effect, is that the truth is anti-gay.

Conservatives want freedom from coercion. Liberals want freedom from reality.

I was listening to Rush a couple of days ago, when I had the very rare experience of hearing a caller pull one over on him. The caller did this by calling himself a gay republican Rush listener. Then he went on to define the issue of “gay marriage” as one of economic fairness.

Rush almost caught the trick when he said that two sisters that lived together would be treated the same way as two who claimed to be in a “gay marriage”.

When you consider that, what the homosexuals want is legal priviledge for homosexual acts.

Live with a person without sexual acts, you are treated one way by the law. Live with them and claim a homosexual relationship, and you get special privileges.
