Chuck Todd: Is Focus On Gay Marriage, Abortion "A Sign The Economy Is Coming Back?" (video)

CHUCK TODD, NBC NEWS: You know, Peggy, what's been interesting about this week is all of the big polarizing issues of the last two generations culturally all popped up in one week, and one of it had to do with the Supreme Court with gay marriage, with abortion.

This culture wars, normally when it comes back, it's something that's helpful to Republicans. Is it good this time for the conservative movement to have these issues out there?

PEGGY NOONAN, WALL STREET JOURNAL: I don't know. Yeah, I think, all of these cultural issues, as I guess- we call them, have been major issues in America for almost half a century, really. The abortion argument was going on 50 years ago, Roe came 40 years ago. It is hard to resolve these issues because they're not just cultural issues. They are moral issues and Americans feel differently about them. So I think one way or another, they'll probably be bubbling out there for a long time and it's not the worst thing.

CHUCK TODD: So maybe a resolution in the law, but not in the way people feel. But is it also a sign the economy is coming back, Gene?

No, it's an indication that the Alinskyites are masters of distraction.

NO. Pink journalistas are getting ready to celebrate another judicial decree in Gay Pride Month.

They think that don’t ask, don’t tell is only bad policy for the military, gay anchors and editors will remain closeted.

What strength of “medicinal” marijuana is on offer in the NBC News staff breakroom?

No, it’s a sign that the MSM is becoming more moronic. If that’s even possible.

Your post is also excellent. The “media” gets so excited as the stock market continues to climb towards the big bubble. I thought the “media” was on the OWS crowd’s side. Weird.

EXACTLY RIGHT! Was saying the same earlier today during the talking head shows "gee, lookee here ... I guess the economy is all better now isn't it?!"

Over 50 million people on food stambs, tens of millions more on welfare and those on disability have doubled in the last 4 years. But gee, that economy is going gangbusters ain't it?!

No, it’s simply a distraction arranged by the popular media, a.k.a. Obama’s Ministry of Propaganda, to distract attention from the fact that the Marxist economy of the United States really stinks.

Chuck Todd repeats what he is told to say. He is a WH lap dog in more ways than one.

Just the opposite chuckie my stupid friend. It means the Democrats and their feckless enablers in the GOP don't want to talk about problems they don't have the stomach to solve (didn't say they don't have the solution to, just not the stomach to solve). Because of this they work hard to change the subject. They are very good at this.
