A pastor in the town of Brunswick has come forward as the victim in the second shooting that ocurred 10 days before Antonio Santiago was shot and killed.

Pastor Wilfredo Calix-Flores told Action News he has been afraid of returning to

work at his small church on Norwich Street in Brunswick ever since he was shot in his arm during a robbery attempt there on March 11th.

He also told the station that he's praying for De'Marquise Elkin's family, and hopes they will seek forgiveness from God.

Pastor Calix-Flores tells Action News he's now praying De'marquis Elkins and his family seek forgiveness from God.

The teen who allegedly shot and killed a 13-month-old baby in the face while trying to rob the child's mother was also charged with another robbery attempt that resulted in a shooting.

De'Marquise Elkins, 17, was indicted by a Glynn Country grand jury on nine counts, including malice murder, in the slaying last Thursday of young Antonio Santiago a few blocks from his home in coastal Brunswick, Georgia.

He was also indicted on two counts in a second attempted robbery and shooting that happened 10 days before the baby was slain.

According to CBS:

On March 11, according to the indictment, Elkins tried to rob a person identified as Wilfredo Calix-Flores, pointing a gun at him while demanding his cellphone and wallet. Elkins shot Calix-Flores in the arm with the same caliber revolver used to kill the baby 10 days later, the indictment says. He is charged with attempted robbery and assault with a deadly weapon.

But Elkin's public defender, Kevin Gough, said he felt prosecutors rushed to indict his client before collecting all available evidence. Gough had asked a judge for a preliminary hearing next week to determine if prosecutors had sufficient evidence to charge Elkins.

This just keeps on getting "better." The pos who murdered the baby shot someone earlier, but apparently the police didn't discover who he was.

An animal like this needs to be humanely executed - It will never happen of course because he's a yout.

I can't help wondering where the rationale is for letting younger murderers escape the death sentnce. Are their victime any less dead? Are the victim's families any less traumatized? Is the crime less horrific?

Apparently so.

If you see this guy comeing pull out your concealed carry piece - you'll need it.

If we had background checks, this would never have happened.

Humanely? The constitution forbids cruel and unusual punishment. It does not guarantee a painless execution.

This case is really getting interesting.

And you just know the Reverend Al is lurking in the background trying to find a racist angle so he can jump on the bandwagon.

I think we’ve returned to a mindset where public executions are needed.

Whether just plain ol’ evil or he sucked down some black smoke demon a la Supernatural and the devil made him do it, this one needs to be put down, in public, after a public hearing of his crimes against the community and humanity.

We’ve let our experiment go too far. The wide and growing gray area between right and wrong needs to be clarified back to a clear, bold line.

By humanely I'm ruling out breaking on the wheel and the saw. Other than that...

Love how they try to dress up these animals when they go to court to make them look “respectable” Bet he’s never had on a button-down shirt in his life. Sick animal. Where is the outrage like there was/is against Zimmerman.

Only forbids cruel and unusual punishment at the government level.....

If someone did that to my family and I got my hands on them, even people running 3rd world torture shops would be getting sick to their stomachs reading the details of what I did.

The Constitution forbids cruel and unusual punishment.

In this postmodern era I interpret this to mean that a punishment could be cruel as long as it was not unusual or unusual as long as it was not cruel.

Crucifixion, for instance, was cruel but not unusual.

Instead of gun control, if we locked up everybody whose name has an apostrophe in it, I bet the crime rate would go down by at least 50%.

Where is the outrage like there was/is against Zimmerman.

This story is as much an indictment of the news media as it is about racial hatred and black sociopaths. The media is supressing this because it doesn't fit their false narrative that blacks are oppressed by whites and that wise blacks are periodically required to enlighten whites. In fact, I had to post one of these stories twice on FR. I posted this one about elkins this morning early, and it was summarily removed without any explanation apparently by one of the admin mods who found it offensive that I was pointing out the racial hatred inherent in the actions of this POS. I reposted it.

It should be mandatory that the accused wear the same clothing in court that they did when arrested.

I like the way you think. The Constitution clearly says "cruel and unusual" punishment, not "cruel or unusual."

Has the media started floating the rumor that the shooter is an NRA member?

What he looks like is a drain and dead weight to society. He has absolutely no worth as a human being other than to cause pain for others.
