North Korea rocket units on standby to attack US bases
The Guardian ^ | 03/29/2013

North Korea put its rocket units on standby on Friday to attack US military bases in South Korea and the Pacific, after the United States flew two nuclear-capable stealth bombers over the Korean peninsula in a rare show of force.

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un signed off on the order at a midnight meeting of top generals and "judged the time has come to settle accounts with the US imperialists in view of the prevailing situation", the official KCNA news agency said.

On Thursday, the United States flew two radar-evading B-2 Spirit bombers on practice runs over South Korea, responding to a series of North Korean threats. They flew from the United States and back in what appeared to be the first exercise of its kind, designed to show America's ability to conduct long-range, precision strikes "quickly and at will", the US military said.

The news of Kim's response was unusually swift.

"He finally signed the plan on technical preparations of strategic rockets of the KPA, ordering them to be standby for fire so that they may strike any time the US mainland, its military bases in the operational theatres in the Pacific, including Hawaii and Guam, and those in South Korea," KCNA said.

The North has an arsenal of Soviet-era Scud missiles that can hit South Korea but its longer-range missiles are untested. Independent assessments of its missile capability suggest it may have theoretical capacity to hit US bases in Japan and Guam.

The North has launched a daily barrage of threats since early this month when the United States and the South, allies in the 1950-53 Korean War, began routine military drills.

The South and the United States have said the drills are purely defensive in nature

They are just becoming more overt And they are aided and abetted mightly by the others which live in and suck the lifeblood out of this Nation. At this point in time, the leeches appear to outnumber the Americans.

He'll probably blame it on "an offensive anti-Korean You Tube video."

And then abandon our forces in SK, then go back to sleep so he can get up for an early tee off time.

So the question is, if Lil Kim does do something, does our current CIC have the testicular fortitude to do anything about it?

Absolutely Obama would do something about it.

1) He will give a speech essentially saying the same thing he said about the 9/11:

The essence of this tragedy, it seems to me, derives from a fundamental absence of empathy on the part of the attackers: an inability to imagine, or connect with, the humanity and suffering of others. Such a failure of empathy, such numbness to the pain of a child or the desperation of a parent, is not innate; nor, history tells us, is it unique to a particular culture, religion, or ethnicity. It may find expression in a particular brand of violence, and may be channeled by particular demagogues or fanatics. Most often, though, it grows out of a climate of poverty and ignorance, helplessness and despair.

2)He will call for a national day of service, and speed up the unilateral disarmament of the USA to show his commitment to eliminating the threat of nuclear weapons in the future.

Our CIC would probably apologize to NK, blaming us for the attack. Then he would somehow blame it on assault weapons and push harder to ban those.

If we just agree to cut our nuclear arsenals completely, this threat should go away. It only makes sense. No Nukes!!!!

I like that CIC (Coward N Chief) is the middle initial should be I or N.

I just use the N. Makes it easier. :)

Chinese ships should be sinking mysteriously every day for as long as North Korea keeps up its sabre rattling.

Whenever you read “North Korea,” substitute “China.”

If one wants to put the NK's back in their little cage, just bunker bust every Iranian nuke site for about a week straight. They will feel it in Pyong Yang.

The current president of the United States exhibits deliberate weakness. It gives a greenlight to chaos, which is what the american president wants.

No.

That would be governing. Obama does not like to govern.

North Korea has an inexperienced son-of-a-nutjob in charge. It is entirely possible that he is giving extra credibility to his generals, because he doesn't know any better. It is also entirely possible that NK is coordinating an attack with China; China caputures disputed islands in the South China Sea and off Japan, while NK attacks American military bases to keep America busy.

This is only happening because the United States has a weak leader.

It's frightening because that is actual liberal thinking. I'm praying for our survival of Obama, and the ignorant society that gave us someone like him as our president. Dear God, please let this great country survive it's stupidity. Please let it be brief, Lord.

“If we just agree to cut our nuclear arsenals completely, this threat should go away. It only makes sense. No Nukes!!!!”

This was all explained perfectly back in the ‘50s by the Bertrand Russell-led CCND, who further proved that the Soviets were peace-lovers who were forced by the Imperialist USA to develop nuclear weapons in their own defense.

“Peace Now!”

The only likely danger here is that the North Koreans run out of ideas for more bluster. Their temper tantrums are how they deal with internal politics.
