“Middle East”??? What, are these “journalists” too afraid to say MUSLIM?

Miami media is a sad, pathetic joke.

From the Comments Section of the news article:

On February 4th, 2013, Vladimir Putin, the Russian president, addressed the Duma, (Russian Parliament), and gave a speech about the tensions with minorities in Russia:

“In Russia live Russians. Any minority, from anywhere, if it wants to live in Russia, to work and eat in Russia, should speak Russian, and should respect the Russian laws.

If they prefer Shari’ya Law, then we advise them to go to those places where that’s the state law. Russia does not
need minorities. Minorities need Russia, and we will not grant them special privileges, or try to change our laws to fit their desires, no matter how loud they yell ‘discrimination’. We had better learn from the suicides of America, England, Holland and France, if we are to survive as a nation.

The Russian customs and traditions are not compatible with the lack of culture or the primitive ways of most minorities. When this honorable legislative body thinks of creating new laws, it should have in mind the national interest first, observing that the minorities are not
Russians.”

The politicians in the Duma gave Putin a standing ovation for five minutes.

Hate to say it, but, despite myself, I’m starting to like this guy Putin.

A Muslim in Arabic means”one who gives himself to God,” and is by definition, someone who adheres to Islam. By contrast, a Moslem in Arabic means”one who is evil and unjust”

Actually, "one who gives himself to God" actually means "one who gives himself to Allah." Therefore, I would argue that "Muslim" and "Moslem" are exactly synonymous. It is hard to imagine a greater evil than the Allah worshiped by Muslims.

I’m of the opinion that Putin is a bastard, but he’s a bastard who loves his country. And that is a lot more than we can say about Obama.

I’m of the opinion that Putin is a bastard, but he’s a bastard who loves his country.................................... No question about it, he is a Russian Nationalist. There are some who portray him as a staunch Communist, but the Russians I know say he is 100% for Russia. More so than Gorbachev. I was in eastern Europe this past May when he was made President, it was a very impressive event. Want to tag him, tag him as being very pro Russian. Russia was once Russland, ya really don’t want to mess with the Russ.

Concur with every part of your comment:

Putin is a bastard - check.

Putin loves his country - check.

Obama doesn’t love his - check.

Oriental means easterner. Why that should be inherently more offensive than calling someone a southerner is beyond me.

Here’s a link to a stupidly PC article on the subject.

However, my all time favorite for stupid “slur” is the term Polak for someone of Polish origin or ancestry. The Polish term for this group is Polak, so being offended at its use is like my being offended if called an American.

Political correctness has had the opposite effect on me. I usually wouldn’t want to offend anyone. Now since everyone is offended by everything, I want to use derogatory comments.

I don't think it matters since he is an internationalist who would, if able, cede US sovereignty to the UN.
