"Yesterday we reported on the case of United Loan and Firearm versus Comcast. The owner of that shop, Ray Reynolds, says that Comcast is censoring his TV ads that run on Comcast Cable. The cable giant is demanding that he truncate “United Loan and Firearm” to remove the reference to guns, and that he remove any imagery of guns from his ad. If he does not comply, his ad will not run."
===================================
You have all likely heard the above story by now and like many others, I generally write this stuff off as untrue. Well, I decided to check into it myself since I am a Comcast customer shelling out over 2 thousand dollars a year for TV, Internet and phone service. Well guess what, it is true. I'm including a screenshot of the chat log as proof. It's unfortunate, but looks like I will be going back to AT&T unless Comcast does a reversal on this policy in the next few days.

See below for screen cap of chat session log. And if you may pick up on it, it appears Comcast filters out PJMedia so it's employees cannot access the site. Surprised?

Meanwhile, they have no problems showing shoot-em-up movies and pornography.

I guess you can’t be a liberal without being a flaming HYPOCRITE.

Looks like Comcast won’t get my business anytime soon.

They knock on my door every few weeks, asking me to switch.

Why all this focus on images of guns, commercials with guns, kids with toy guns, gun shows, etc... while NO attention is paid to the level of gun violence that is constantly displayed in TV shows and movies???

Why does Hollywood get a pass on Gun Violence????

HMMMMMMM??????

time for a massive boycott that targets Comcast advertisers. If they support a company that wants to infringe on my rights, I think they should pay dearly.

Vote with your wallet - it is the only thing that will get their attention. Switch services. Dump their stock. Cancel ads.

I hope they stop news shows from airing armed cops in front of mics.

I hope they stop playing the dozens of cop shows on tv right now.

We have DSL through our phone company, Fairpoint, which has been politically inactive, so far.

We don’t have TV at all.
