Chicago, Los Angeles, New York Prosecuted Fewest Federal Gun Crimes

The districts that contain Chicago, Los Angeles and New York City ranked last in terms of federal gun law enforcement in 2012, according to a new report from Syracuse University's Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse, which tracks federal data.

Federal gun crimes include illegal possession of a firearm in a school zone, illegal sale of a firearm to a juvenile, felon, or drug addict, and illegal transport of a firearm across state lines. In Chicago, the majority of gun charges last year were for firearms violations.

As this shows, if the Obamunists really wanted to reduce crime, instead of enabling it and totalitarianism, all they would have to do is actually enforce existing Federal gun laws in the bloodiest, most criminal parts of the nation, like Chicago.

Is there any doubt this is done on purpose? They're letting gun violence in the urban areas escalate so thy can “never let a crisis go to waste”.

This jives with what a retired Sheriff’s Deputy told me. He said that in his 30 years of experience, hardened criminals were rarely prosecuted for gun law violations. Typically the prosecutor wanted to pursue the more serious charges. Who cares about a gun violation when the perp is charged with murder, for example.He said in most cases, gun violations were pursued against otherwise law-abiding citizens (carry without a permit, etc).

It's done to pad the statistics on gun crimes in the state. The fewer Federal prosecutions, the "safer" the state looks.
