Matt Lauer has been the subject of much scrutiny recently as reports of what really transpired in the Ann Curry ousting come to light and ratings continue to decline.
And it appears the brass at NBC are now looking to possibly replace Lauer.
Deadline's Nellie Andreeva reports exclusively:
I hear NBC toppers recently reached out to CNNs Anderson Cooper to replace Lauer on the show before the end of the year. After their initial approach to Cooper, I hear NBC reached out to Lauer to get his blessing about the changeover. But I heard they got pushback from the Today veteran, who contacted Cooper to express his disapproval. I also hear that call caught Cooper by surprise, as he had assumed Lauer had been brought on board before NBC began making overtures.

Just desserts for a real a$$. Lauer is a wolf in sheep’s clothing and quite frankly I don’t know how he lasted this long.
I guess Matt wasn’t gay enough.
Shep Smith
What exactly was Matt’s “job?”
Matts probably thinking he should have gotten a rug for his roof.
He is so pretty, those eyelashes, that smile!
Cooper for Lauer? That’ll work real well. A liberal for an even more liberal. I guess NBC wants to hit ‘0’ in the ratings......
So much make up, yuk!
Let NBC get Shep Smith, so the time slot is freed up on FNC.
Fox Report would far better ratings with the likes of Megyn Kelly than Shep.
That is funny two metrosexual dudes cat fighting over NBC today gig LOL!
I haven’t seen catfight like that since Krystle and Alexis get into on Dynasty
Not going down the sewer fast enough to suit the crazies running NBC?
Lauer, never.
In the scheme of things, Cooper would be a step up. He’s less of a fraud than Lauer.

Now I need some bleech for brain after that.
And he swims with man eating crocodiles...very putinesque. And the queerification of America marches on...
As viewership continues to dwindle at the Networks the "neckties" justify their existence by busying themselves with "rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic."
