To cheer things up, here's "Survived By His Wife," by Alan King:
... but I"LL not hold that against him.
May he rest in peace.
And today is “National Joe Day”.

Condolences to family and friends of Joe Weider.

Forget which body builder said it (Charles Atlas? Jack LaLane?) but body builders can’t die. It would be bad for their image.
Lived into his 90s is good enough for me to prove a point. But then, I don’t see the point of living into my 90s anyway. I’m happy to check out and be with the Lord at 60. Sooner, even, if He so wills.

Incidentally, that weight gain stuff he marketed, I bought barrels of it when I was 20. It had a time lapse of around 30 years but when it finally kicked in, it was very effective!
Yep, I probably jacked my own thread there, but Alan King was unforgettable. One of my favorite flicks is his “Just Tell Me What You Want.” Recommended to all!
That was exactly my experience!
All things come to those who weight! ;)
