UKIP has achieved an all-time high telephone poll vote share of 14%, as the Conservatives and Labour lose support, according to a ComRes poll for The Independent.

It shows Labour on 38 per cent (down five points on last month).

The Conservatives on 28 per cent (down three points).

UKIP on 14 per cent (up five points).

The Liberal Democrats on 12 per cent (up four points).

Almost one in five (18 per cent) of people who voted Conservative in 2010 say they would now support UKIP.

Good. Get out of the EUSSR, then get rid of welfare, homo-propaganda, abortion, and revitalize faith... then you’re set.

Glad to see UKIP doing so well but... From this poll it looks to me like between Labor and the Lib Democrats the left currently enjoys 50% support. Between Tories and UKIP the right seems to have 40%. That seems kind of depressing. The other 10% is probably scattered among smaller parties like the BNP, Greens, etc, I assume? It looks like if an election were held today the left would win?

In theory yes, but the electoral system here is first past the post, and while UKIP may end up with more votes than the Lib Dems, it is entirely feasible that UKIP could end up with 0 MPs and the Lib Dems 10-20.

As things stand, it is likely a Lib Lab coalition or majority Lab victory, but there is 2 years to go, and UKIP is massively on the rise so who knows.

Beyond any doubt, the more people see of Farage and UKIP the more they like. A good show in the local elections in May and next years Euro elections and we could have the most interesting general election in decades by 2015.

Disagree with your theory, I believe that UKIP are drawing for all parties (and non voters).

Yes it is a good chunck from Tories, but old patriotic labour, and some lib dems are defecting as well..

Both the Tories and the GOP need to die a horrible, grisly death, and be replaced by real conservative parties. At least Britain already has an alternative in the wings.

Couldn’t agree more, to be honest, it is a breath of fresh air. I’m sure you feel the same frustration at the way things are and how spineless the so called opposition is. It is so nice and refreshing to have someone articulate that opposition so intelligently!
