I don’t believe they are spoiled brats, as you say, but spoiled brats are so due to their parents’ treatment of them.
I’ve known plenty of kids who were brought up to have anything their parents could and would get them, their mothers being the same way, who grew up to be well educated productive citizens.
And I know plenty of less wealthy people who, because of their love of money are jealous to the point of hatred of innocents and the joke is on tem, as they misread the passage.
It is: The root of all evil is the love of money. They are deluded into thinking there’s some kind of virtue in being poor. But there’s nothing wrong with having money. The warning is against the temptations in loving money, wealthy or poor.
They are minors. Their is no reason to be bigoted and judgmental about them.
the issue is BO and his icky wife despising the American people and spending our money, we owe, due to him, that our kids will be paying back.
My Pop used to travel entirely too much as a part of his job. However, a pleasant side benefit was that one of his work locations was where I was attending college at the time.
So, he got to visit with me, occasionally, and do it honestly on the company dime. Any additional expenses though, like dinner - man, he kept track of them to the penny and kept everything well separated.
As well he should have. It's the honest thing to do.
How's that for a Spring Break? That's what I can afford.
Mrs WBill might spend a day taking them to the local Science and Technology Museum. It's free, sort of, in that my taxes have already paid for it. :-)
I don't blame the kids for taking advantage of the opportunities provided to them. Heck, I'd have done the same thing when I was a teenager....if I had the same opportunities.
But I can really, really hate Moochelle and BO for letting it happen.
My grandkids have been waiting for about 3-4 years for the chance to paint the barn again...
Its been snowing (light flurries) off and on all day LOL
Oh well the barn will have to wait now till summer Vaca unless it gets warm enough fast this week...
along with the barn they were expecting to plant some veggies...
cant do that either...
guess we’ll just have to make do and join the Obamas in their exile in the Bahamas...

It’s the spirit of the intention, not the exact accounting. If they sent him there instead of somewhere else and sent another guy somewhere else to allow you a visit, then it’s about troop morale. we used to take spouse go along trips, but on personal dime.
Mine learned all about them last summer at my family farm. (as I once did) They swung a hoe at a whole lot of weeds, planted rows and rows of potatoes, beans, hills of squash, etc etc etc.
"Boy Dad, this is a whole lot of work!", approximately, was the comment.
Yep. Builds a lot of character, too.
But he didn't mess around and fudge the expense reports. As well he shouldn't have.
If only there were a few more like him in the gov't. I just read about our esteemed Veep dropping 500K+ on one night in Paris. Sez me, there are plenty of people who don't see that much money in their lifetimes. The entitlement mentality of this administration is absolutely mind boggling, IMHO.

That’s not quite accurate. Every single time Sidwell closed for a break, Hillary and Chelsea went globe trotting. I don’t remember Chelsea ever going without Hillary and/or only with friends. That certainly is different and seems pretty improper given the Obama girls’ ages. But that’s progressive parents for you.
It is shameful that this man who takes from us in the name of equality and preaches sacrifice to us has the balls to flaunt his family’s excess in our faces. Sorry, our children are open books to this family and until they get the hell out of our lives we have evey right to ask about their children. Michelle Obama is deciding what they eat, the liberal public shool curriculum impacts our childrens thought process. The financial course being set for our children by obama will devastate their lives. Obama has the audacity to recommend that those thinking of going to Vegas should make a sacrifice. I have little if any compunction to protect the lavish lifestyle of this family. Their children’s lives are so far removed from what is REALLY going on in this country that it is nauseating.
They’re horrible. I’m not going to act like they do. Two wrongs, and all of that.
It’s easier to ignore their demands that way.
We need to keep an eye on this stuff though, and bring It up with facts and figures to jump back.
The dopeyest family member said, the other day, “well, why would he want to punish the military? He was in the military wasn’t he?”. And even she had a quick change the argument comment on some big issue.

It’s not focusing on the kids. It’s focusing on the fact that 0mozlem and Mrs 0mozlem are spending way, way too much of OUR money to live like royalty.
just wondering...and I have been around the block a bit my self, I've seen and known good kids, bad kids, and in between kids...these two girls are given way too much for the age of them...JMO and I'll stick with it...they are spoiled brats...

If they act like Chelsea and marry an idiot and buy an apt for 10 mil that they got from who knows what sleazy windfall, then I’ll say something, but they are not doing that. Chelsea is and she’s fair game, but they are not.
Gave a great week yourself. It’s Holy Week in some circles, reflection, repentance and giving.
My point was the decadence, as I said.
There’s traveling and there’s going to the beach. Both involve planes and bag packing, but they are not the same in any other way, except that the first family needs to do it on their dime.
But the extent and the spirit,as I stated, are different. And forget the Bush girls. they went to Crawford, chopped wood and caught hell for taking a vacation at all.
