ALBANY -- As the legislature began the process of enacting a new state budget Sunday, its top Republican said Sunday they effectively will cancel a ban on the sale of gun and rifle magazines larger than seven rounds that was set to take effect April 15.
In doing so, Senate co-leader Dean Skelos (R-Rockville Centre) confirmed a plan lawmakers outlined last week.

I believe you will still be able to buy 10 round mags, but it will be a crime to load more than 7 rounds in them.
Are they still trying to figure out how to re-legalize all the high capacity mags carried by law enforcement? Wouldn’t be surprised if they determined they were going to have troubles getting that through.

I hope the lawsuits completely embarrass Cuomo. I also hope it forces NY to revoke the AWB Pataki put into law. Since the day Coumo’s idiotic law was signed, I have been looking for a job out of here. Coumo no longer makes us feel welcome in our home state.
We’ve not had a major 2A challenge to SCOTUS since Heller (individual right) and McDonald (incorporation to states). I think we need to go after most of NY’s gun control laws, not just the latest, maybe even parts of their Sullivan Act.

I concur= The Sullivan Act is unconstitutional period.- Cancel every gun law which are stolen bricks in the structure of the Bill of Rights since 1922 NY State. All these commies in Albany and NYC have arned bodyguards. We all got armed bodyguards here, too.- they are called ARMED NEIGHBORS.
We don’t have to challenge these laws country-wide. Kill all of NY’s laws and set a nationwide precident. We need to declare legal war on NY.
So, I guess that leaves Colorado as the only state still planning on enacting this idiocy. (Anyone have any leads for an analog/RF electronics and optoelectronics engineer, say, in the south east coast?)
