Gay marriage opponents mass in Paris for final rally
BBC ^ | 24 March 2013 Last updated at 16:30 ET | BBC

Hundreds of thousands of people have gathered in central Paris for a final mass protest against a bill to legalise same-sex marriage and adoption.

Demonstrators gathered along a major street up to the Arc de Triomphe.

There were scuffles and police fired tear gas as the protest spilled over onto the Champs Elysees, the avenue which runs past the president's palace.

France's Senate is due to debate the bill next month after it was passed by the lower house of parliament.

President Francois Hollande's Socialist Party and its allies dominate both houses.

Opinion polls suggest a majority of French people still support gay marriage but their numbers have fallen in recent weeks.

Banners unfurled along the march route included "Hands off my filiation" and "We want work, not gay marriage".

right now if these judges do not throw it back to congress or not throw this out then they are saying to tens of millions of voters your vote does not count and that money and ahrd work to have had it on the ballots don;t count.

In MA as soon as they forced this sham onto the state they started teaching feces sex in the schools
then sued Catholic charties to adopt to homosexuals of which they the adoption agency had to close down.

The first amendment the very reason why this country was founded is the freedom of religion and now that wil be trown out

Churches will be sued, schools sued, teachers who refuse to twach it will lose their jobs, photographers will be sued if they refuse to do their weddings
States will be forced to accept this while ignoring their own voters.

This is a step for them to a bigger agenda and yet the communists which forced this back in the 60’s are now being defended as is their agenda by smoe who call themselves republicans

indeed, I love my kids but feel no desire to have sex with them or marry them
I love my dog and horse but feel no desire to have sex or marry them.

Love is a cop out, the nearest to love is their desire and love to have sex wiht mans asses and feces or a woman to pretend she is a guy and wear a strap on

There is a tipping point and I really beleive that the second amendment and homosexual “marriage” will be it.

Everything you need to know about the Decline of America is found in the rise/affirmation of “Radical Homo culture” and “Black as perpetual victim” culture.

Blend and mix with a heaping dose of “Pandering Politician” and “Greedy Trial Lawyer.”

Bingo! You have Emasculated Self-Hating Super Power destined for the trash heap of civilizations.

How sad, and I agree.
My Mom and Dad would be mortified that they fought in WWII, and it was for not, apparently.
Hopefully, the people will rise up and stop..........the march to destruction!

People make fun of the French here but socialists that are, they fight harder than we do on social issues. When is the last time a few hundred thousand marriage supporters marched? In France they did it twice in an atheist nation with 1/5 of our population.

...Wish it were true. Last election our nation voted the socialist back into office and passed gay marriage in 3 states by popular vote while stopping a marriage protection amendment in a 4th state. Look how the right capitulated on gay in military, nobody is even talking about return to DADT.

DADT was done by lame duckers. That was all rigged anyway. Just talk to a non homo loving soldier, sailor or airman.

Gay marriage in France will most likely be a short lived event considering Muslims will be the majority in 38 years from now.

I hear you, I talk about DADT every day, talked to marines and sldiers too who have said they disagree with it but people feel they have to shut up about this issue.

If DOMA is not held then we are looking at the biggest change in the countrys history, lawsuits, adoptions, schools, bar exams etc, then there is the new anti free speech laws, the hate new laws, the crap of well this is law

But all of those efforts in the 4 states during a Presidential election the pro traditional marriage side got more votes that Mitt Romney in those very blue states. The issue isn’t lost but it has become more difficult but its time to regroup and educate people. The big mistake is focusing primarily on religious reasons to be opposed to homosexuality and other deviances while religious freedom is clearly threatened and personal freedoms by letting ourselves be boxed in automatically tunes off some who would otherwise be open to reason. Homosexuality is inately harmful to reproductive health, homosexuals lifespans are almost 2 decades shorter than the avg heterosexual.

One of the biggest problems is that even conservative media doesn’t invite researchers and PHDs who disagree with the gay propaganda. If anything they cower. Even when students are being thrown out of college programs over ssm views and views on homosexuality they do little to rally or even make an issue of it but let a little kid get suspended for the shape of a pop tart and they are all over it. The last time they gave any degree of media attention to this is with the beauty queen who supported prop 8. You can’t win if you aren’t even making your case. When the case is made minds are changed. The prop 8 situation was a prime example, before they started running ads youth were solidly against it and in the end they got a far larger share than ever expected. Currently in France the support of SSM is falling as 100s of thousands maintain pressure. People need to see that they aren’t alone.
