FOX - Gingrich on ME. Peace Process is insanity when rockets are raining down on Israel the day the president arrives.

Bayh on Syria - it’s been a mess for a long time no matter what we do, it will continue. Shouldn’t be involved except for allies and covert means (what is that?). If WMD are used, story changes.

FOX Sunday - Jennifer Rubin takes great umbrage for obam leaning on BB to apologize to Turkey for incident three years ago with “peace/aide” flotilla.

Gingrich on obam’s ME trip - won’t know for a while the impact of his trip.

Only one tiny little problem:

When the Law gets bent into pretzel shapes to favor the “select” few,
.
.
there
.
.
is
.
.
no
.
.
law

(I’m considering just how close we are to that point now as well as the time we’ve got left before it smacks us upside the head, and it don’t look good to me.)

Rand Paul should be a bit clearer on E-Verify. Saying it’s the ‘government’s job’ doesn’t tell the listener that we already have laws on the books & employers are already required to verify eligibility to work. I was a payroll clerk at a university many years ago, & each person had to show proof of a) citizenship or b) proof of a visa that permitted them to work before getting on the payroll. The form we were required to complete was an ‘I-9’. It may be that E-Verify is simpler, but that process of verification is already in effect.

Of course, there’s the issue of stolen identity or fraudulent documents, but those are also a problem for the government.

The GOP establishment with the assistance of the MSM is trying to stampede Reps into supporting the liberal positions on amnesty, abortion, gay marriage, and gun control. They think they can win elections if the GOP becomes more like the Dems. They are wrong. They will not win Dem votes and they will lose a significant portion of the base. The GOP is committing political suicide.

You are quite correct. There are laws employers must follow including filing I-9’s. E-verify, a free system, makes it much easier although I-9s are still required. AZ mandated that all business must use E-Verify and SCOTUS upheld that mandate. We must make E-verify mandatory nationally. It is currently voluntary.

He’s not opposed to the data-base check, not eligible to vote not eligible for welfare. Wants govt to do it, not burden business.

On GOP getting hispanic vote by supporting amnesty, he want’s “Trust but Verify” program. Doesn’t trust any president to handle border security, wants Congress to deal with it every year

I wish all these politicians would find out how the illegals really do things. Birthright citizenship means they can put their children on every social program out there, and most of them do. Illegals are not allowed to get on the programs now, but are encouraged to enroll their citizen children- the cards and checks go to the illegal adults since the children are minors. So how do you keep them off welfare?

As to the voting issue, that is a state issue, my state is still trying to require ID to vote, without that of course illegals can and do vote.

Without E-verify there is no record of whether a business hires illegals or not so doing away with that will mean it is easier for businesses to hire illegals. Businesses can just say they "didn't know" if they are caught working illegals.

The Republican party is kidding itself about getting the Hispanic vote by supporting amnesty. Younger Hispanics, say under 60 do not have the desire to be Americans and each age group under 60 has less desire to assimilate and become Americans. They want the piece of paper giving them citizenship for the benefits but do not want to be Americans. Most have been brainwashed in schools in Mexico and parts of the US that Mexico actually owns the SW, and the US is responsible for all the problems in Mexico. Their loyalty is to Mexico, with or without citizenship and they are raised with socialistic ideals. How anyone could think all of this will translate into Hispanic votes for Republicans is beyond me. When politicians talk about Hispanics having conservative values, being religious, wanting to be Americans, they are talking about the illegals from Mexico years ago, not current. They are out of touch, most of today's illegals are liberals, not particularly religious and in fact Islam is a growing religion in Mexico.

Certainly a government that wants to maintain databases on citizens should be keeping one on foreign nationals within the borders. I agree, E-Verify should be mandated nationally.

Exactamundo. I copied your whole post because it is all 100% on the money.

The beltway GOP with a few exceptions are truly self promoting, useful idiots.

I don’t care what the schedule topics are on these shows. All the GOP troops on these shows should be talking about is economic issues and the spiraling costs of obamacare. 6 trillion in debt and no budget barack refusing to govern. They continually give the Dems a pass and now they are busy running out the clock to 2014.

What a bunch of foppish and weak losers the beltway GOP has become.

The answer to all of that is:

Bounty on illegals, wholesale deportation, closed borders.

The children can stay, but they have to become conservative Republicans.

Isn't it?

No, E-Verify (as Kabar pointed out) is mandatory only in AZ. The I-9 employment verification rules are mandatory nationally.

People laugh at self deportation, but if we cut off benefits and jobs they would get themselves home. We didn’t pay to bring them here and we wouldn’t have to pay to send them home.

Well, there is a poster about it in my workplace here in Maine. It may not be mandatory, but I’ll bet it is used in most states.

Well then....that would explain where the techniques came from, wouldn’t it. Their ranks are filled with communists, admitted and otherwise.

Yes.

Few admit it because that’s the deal. You don’t call yourself “communist,” you call yourself the German Democratic Republic instead, three things you decidedly are NOT. Or, “progressive,” because of course there won’t be any (progress) once you are in charge. Or, “bolshevik,” the Russian word for “majority” because you are a hyper-minority.

Why did they stop admitting it?

Because in the late 1940s and early 1950s HUAC and McCarthy began asking “are you now or have you ever been...”

What had been “colonization” became “infiltration” leading finally to “influence operations.”

American communists (Frank Marshall Davis) who once had badges with numbers on them vanished.

In their place came Billy Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn and Reverend Wright, all vested by Castro (via Andropov) to stop bombing police stations and find candidates instead, preferably black candidates who could “shame guilty whites into voting for them,” that is, vote for Communists In Everything But Name Only, let’s call it the CIEBNO movement, Bill Clinton (metaphorically black) giving way to the Comrade Himself (half black), just the ticket!

Didn’t Rush ever notice that Clinton played terminal politics too? Teddy the K? Howard Dean? Any Demovik this side of LBJ? “That” side too?

Rush: Find a Demovik who wants to “govern” and thus take direct “credit” for another flopped five-year plan, like Stalin’s famines or Obamacare, and you’ll have found the first and last of its kind.

Rush: If our side doesn’t call communists “communists” who will? Tell me. Do you think Ben Bradlee will?

(Oh, geez. I’m ranting again. Where are my pills?)

change the tax code and even soc security to allow singles to “choose” a beneficiary and you don’t have to change marriage.
