In Utah, unloaded means:

semi-auto pistol may have full mag, but not a round chambered.

revolver must have cylinder under hammer empty, as well as next one to rotate up empty, hence requiring two pulls to fire.

First this Utah Governor gary herbert guy scolds the county sheriffs for saying they will not enforce unConstitutional laws emanating from Sodom on the Potomac and now this.

I would advise the patriots of Utah that it is time to vote this loser out of office.

Poooor Ann, she was born with a nasty turd in her mouth and has bit the dust; but, the liberals are trying to revive her with a Broadway play.

I can’t believe Utah elected this loser. He should be kicked out of the republican party. He’s a republican in the most conservative State and hes for curtailing 2nd amendment rights?

He obviously knows as little of his people as he knows of the history of his own state. The 2nd amendment is particular important to the history of Utah.

This of course Begs the question, why did Utah’s “republican” Governor take such a nutty stand? Is some poison in the water of Utah governor’s mansion, or is the man a democratic fraud?

“House Speaker Rebecca Lockhart, a Provo Republican, said it’s not clear if there’s enough support among lawmakers for an override...

Wisconsin went through this several times with "Diamond Jim" Doyle Vetoing each attempt. Brought back for an override vote, Doyle flipped two democRATs and tanked the bill. The next time it came up, he only flipped one (the Senator in my district!), we were so POed we tried recalling him and failed by a squeaker. We didn't get a CCW bill through until we elected Scot Walker. The Dems and union people were so ticked about the recalls they mounted one against Walker and six Republican Senators. We held the line on Walker and only lost two Senators, leaving us two thirds to get business done without making deals all over the map.

Shows what you can do when you get the adults organized! If we ever get the fraud in Milwaukee and Dane Counties under control, Wisconsin will shine "Rosie Red"!

Regards,
GtG

There is a simple, obvious, and true answer: the governor is a politician without much knowledge about this issue, and is under enormous pressure from the MSM. This is how the MSM exerts a very large amount of control in this country. They choose the issues, frame the issues, and report on how the politicians react to their views of the issues.

Politicians live and die by how the media treat them.

Close. I am saying that the Governor pays much more attention to ABC,NBC,CBS, the NYTs, the Salt Lake Tribune, AP, and the rest of the MSM, than he does to Fox, Freerepublic, or conservative blogs.

Which would limit a six gun to four rounds. That's lame.

"A gun is considered unloaded in Utah if there's no round in the chamber."

Does that definition include revolvers??? For a semi-auto, that concept makes sense, as you would have to rack the slide to chamber the first round.
