You’re welcome. Firearms and ammunition are good tools, but maybe we should consider the old volume manufacturing and sales paradigm (that is, make more of the stuff to meet even future demand). There are many other useful things needed in small, widespread production, too, in my opinion: energy, other important tools, small scale food production in various climates, all).
The voting rules need to be changed to prevent both senators and congressmen from voting present, or abstaining from voting. Either yes or no, no in-between.
The dims voting for this were afraid of losing out to their voters who would hang them for getting rid of guns. Otherwise, they would have voted to support the UN. The dims own the senate. The fear factor of losing an election is the only reason these people supported it. Nothing else.

Probably the last time was when the Rosenberg couple were electrocuted. Was that considered treason, or espionage? or both? What some of these politicians are doing is just as bad.Virtually voting to surrender to foreign powers.

Well, the way I see it is that it was not a 2/3’rds vote to keep (or at the very least compell) the usual suspects from infringing upon our right to keep and bear arms as we see fit...

This is a joke. Being a Senator implies full support of ALL of our Founding rights. Any Senator who does not protect and defend ALL of our rights should be and CAN BE arrested for treason. It’s as simple as that!
Absolutely. Why do you think Reid had Feinstein's AWB killed? The record of that vote, either way, would have traveled at light speed--and been ammunition for next election.
This is all politics, not statesmanship.

Treaties require a 2/3 vote of Senators present.
It only takes 51 Senators to have a quorum and therefore get a binding vote. 34 Senators is all it takes to pass a treaty with a minimum quorum, assuming they actually care about a quorum count.
That said, no one would miss a vote on this, when it counted.
