What would they bring to the floor if they didn’t?

Where's the "reversal of course"?

Registration/regulation of firearms is statist dogma.

I wonder how much was donated to his vacation fund.

God I wish that guy would simply drop from a stroke.

His bill package hasn’t even been written yet. It’s going to be another one of those bring it to the floor and pass it so we can see what’s in it before it’s even public from the most transparent congress/administration ever.

Then the GOP in the house will fail it, but then somehow there will be a reconciliation vote on it with the GOP saying okay sure we’ll have background checks on all transfers with a tax of some arbitrary amount to defer the costs of the additional background checks.

Its all a ploy, Harry wouldn’t bring it to the floor in the Senate at all unless Queen Pelosi had some plan in the House to get the thing passed in some form.

Boener will go along to get along trading GOP votes for a new highway bill vote sometime in the future.

Obama will sign whatever it is of course and we’ll get 100 pages of regulations for every page of actual law.

“this goes nowhere in the House”

Agreed its DOA in the House.

I have doubts it can even get past the Senate.

It won’t pass 60 votes to end “debate” let alone get 50.

Fineswine is out.

Schumcky is in.

Universal “background checks” (read, database of registered guns) here we come.

These liberal asswipes are so easy to read and predict, it’s pathetic.

Yep. A lot of us weren't fooled.

Now he can pretend, to his pro-second amendment constituents, that he "Tried".

It's obvious from what happened here in Colorado, Democrats know: Career be damned. What Obama wants, Obama gets.

Reid's just trying to play both sides.

By his, I assume you mean Reid.

Chuckie Schumickie has a universal background/registration bill ready to go.

Don't be so sure.

It's DOA in the House...unless Boehner decides to bring it to the floor -- as an act of "bi-partisanship".

If a gun control bill makes it to the floor of the House, it will almost certainly pass. All 201 Democrats will vote for it...and, if as few as 17 lily-livered, yellow bellied RINOs vote for it, it becomes law.

You've got to count on Boehner (!!!) to keep it off the floor.
