Mitch McConnell Votes to Fund Obamacare
Red State ^ | 3/21/2013 | Erick Erickson

Hey, remember that awesome CPAC speech by Mitch McConnell?

The one where Mitch McConnell said — and I quote — “Obamacare should be repealed root and branch. And we’re not backing down from this fight.”

And the same speech where Mitch McConnell also said, “This law is a disaster, and anybody who thinks we’ve moved beyond it is dead wrong.”

Well, as I told you, Mitch McConnell excels at saying one thing and doing another. Yesterday, Mitch McConnell voted to fund Obamacare.

Hey Utah, he joined Orrin Hatch in doing so. Remember, just last year on the campaign trail Orrin Hatch told you all how he was going to absolutely fight to rid us of Obamacare at all costs. And he got a large portion of the conservative movement to cheer him on as a result.

Yeah, that Orrin Hatch voted to fund Obamacare too.

And now for the punchline — the majority of the Republicans in the Senate voted against funding Obamacare. McConnell and Hatch were in the minority of Republicans who chose to side with the Democrats and fund Obamacare.

Here is the full list of the Republicans who voted for the Ted Cruz amendment to defund Obamacare, but then flipped their votes to actually vote to fund Obamacare : ◾Alexander (R-TN)

◾Barrasso (R-WY)

◾Blunt (R-MO)

◾Boozman (R-AR)

◾Chambliss (R-GA)

◾Coats (R-IN)

◾Cochran (R-MS)

◾Collins (R-ME)

◾Corker (R-TN)

◾Cornyn (R-TX)

◾Hatch (R-UT)

◾Hoeven (R-ND)

◾Isakson (R-GA)

◾Johanns (R-NE)

◾McConnell (R-KY)

◾Murkowski (R-AK)

◾Sessions (R-AL)

◾Shelby (R-AL)

◾Thune (R-SD)

◾Wicker (R-MS)

Mitch is a bitch! Get rid of this weasel!

Rescind all the waivers - Congress, the pres, unions - they ALL have to be in it! That'll get rid of it quicker than a bum goin' for a free baloney sandwich.

Why didn't Rand Paul, or another 'brave' Republicrat, use the filibuster to stop this? Clearly, the votes weren't there to do it but it would have been a way to draw attention to the fact that Obamacare is going forward. Isn't this actual outrage at least as important as a theoretical abuse of drone strikes?

America continues to drown while the supposed lifeguards are on a lunch break.

It’s all politics... All of the time.

But as a Kentucky voter... I WILL remember and vote against him in the Primary. Unfortunately if he wins that I will have to vote for him in the General election. I mean seriously folks... Mitch McConnell or Ashley Judd. Dear Lord above, it gives me a shiver of terror.

Cruel reality that conservatives must face is that the GOP, and especially their multinational corporation funders, support ObamaCare. Next it will be extended to Illegal Aliens via Amnesty

Decision making process

Who pays me the most money? I better pander to that group first.

If it’s PC related stick my finger and make my decision based on which voter base will benefit me most

No one’s heard from me in awhile and I’m not getting enough attention, donations, or people ringing my bell for special favors for which I receive “consulting” (kickback or special interest payoffs)

Have a third party real conservative candidate ready if Mitch wins the primary.

RINO’s like him will be no different than Dems in driving us over the edge into total financial collapse.

BALANCED BUDGET NOW AND NO MORE VOTES FOR RINO’S........

RE :”The one where Mitch McConnell said — and I quote — “Obamacare should be repealed root and branch. And we’re not backing down from this fight.”

In 2010 McConnell said his #1 job was to make sure that Obamna WAS NOT re-elected; he said it just because he knew the dog whistle crowd just loves that kind of empty rhetoric.

Well he failed #1, so why is he still in that position?

I assume this is not the first CR that he has voted for, nor will it be the last.

Well there is an old saying. “He can be replaced by an idiot.”

Might as well vote for the idiot Ashley Judd as vote for the two faced POS you already have.

What difference does it make if a Democrat votes with Democrats or if a Republican votes with Democrats. Either way the Democrat wins.

Send a message to Mitch.

Sounds like a bad idea, Mitch needs to be primaried period. All a third party candidate gets you is a Hollywood Marxist as the new Senator from KY.

Ashley Judd. She’s awful. Vote for her.

Let the whole thing get really bad quickly instead of the death by a thousand cuts these Horrible, horrible, cowardly republican enablers are handing us.

Republicans are just Democrats in sheep clothing.

They are led by cowering, lying, backstabbers like
Boehner, Romney, Rove, and McConnell who support
ObamaCARE/RomneyCARE, open borders, and truly
hate the American people.

America needs conservatives, not Republican clowns
and traitors like McConnell.

Cornyn voted yes. I am even MORE disappointed in this. I thought he was better than McConnell!

Off with their heads!...at the ballot box!

Hard for me to imagine that bayitch from AK voted along with Cruz then flipped her vote.

The others are more believable.

Because that's worked so well in the past?

Sorry, but voting DOES NOT WORK ANYMORE.
