New York State Sets Up Gun Snitch Line With $500 Award
The Gateway Pundit ^ | March 20th, 2013 | Jim Holt

And, The Troy Record also has news on the tip line on their Facebook page – It is real. There is actually someone there to take your tips… So that state officials can come take your guns.

NY State has established a toll-free tip line – 1-855-GUNSNYS (1-855- 486-7697) to encourage residents to report illegal firearm possession. The tip line also allows for information to be submitted via text – individuals can text GUNTIP and their message to CRIMES (274637). The New York State Police staff the tip line 24 hours a day. Upon receiving a call, troopers will solicit as much information as possible regarding a firearm tip then contact the appropriate police agency with the lead to initiate an investigation. If the information leads to an arrest for the illegal possession of a firearm, the “tipster” will be awarded $500.

This is like something you’d read about in China or Cuba, not America.

The left is itching for trouble because they are pushing the envelope on our freedoms each and every day. it is no wonder real patriotic Americans leave Obama zombie states in droves every year.

Gun manufacture Magpul is leaving Colorado after they signed into law the gun control bill in the state because that was the final straw.

“Why not just call up and keep them busy with random, useless reports?”

Because they log the number you called from. Not a lot of payphones left, yano.

How about calling tip in for the armed guards at the state capitol in Albany?

Just be sure to do this from a ‘borrowed’ phone - or otherwise untraceable to you.

I’d be a little nervous going out on one of these little excursions, if I was a cop. Who knows...could be a preplanned welcoming party of superior force waiting for them.

I'm just a concerned citizen watching out for suspicious behavior on behalf of our Govt, sir. I will call to help whenever I can.

OR - give that number when filling out telemarketing forms.

not America...

I hate to remind the author that these tactics have been going on in the United States under the guise of the War on Drugs for several decades now. However no one has up till now really put up much of a fuss because of the "I'm not a druggy" attitude.

Throwaway cellphones?

There’s a lot of payback waiting to be brought down on busybody neighbors or just plain obnoxious ones. A roving freelancer with a bag full of WalMart specials could wreak some real havoc. See an Obama sticker in the driveway, call the snitch line, disable the phone, repeat.

Enormous civil disobedience potential here, IMO.

Use the phones at libraries, police stations, hotels, motels, gas stations, etc. Where there’s a will, there’s a way.

Snitches get stiches

I've heard it suggested that the modern version of tar and feathers would be good -- gorilla glue and packing peanuts.

“Use the phones at libraries, police stations, hotels, motels, gas stations”

Just be aware the phones at those locations most likely will under video surveillance. Just saying.

Be real careful with that advice. Most of those places have hi-res security cams in place.

My recommendation, Pre-paid drop phones...

In my area you can still find pay phones if you know where to look. Check gas stations, malls, strip malls, supermarkets, etc.
