Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) on Tuesday voiced support for the work of a secretive bipartisan immigration coalition in the House, but he said Republican lawmakers must be educated on the issue before legislation can advance.
A group of eight lawmakers four Republicans and four Democrats has been meeting privately for years to craft a comprehensive immigration overhaul, and they told Boehner and other Republican leaders last week that they were close to a deal.
He also refused, as he has before, to weigh in on the contentious question of a path to citizenship for the illegal immigrants now in the U.S.
The House group has received less attention than its counterpart in the Senate, which announced an agreement on principles for immigration reform in January and is hoping to release a full legislative text in the coming weeks.
House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) on Tuesday said the negotiators were very close to a deal, which he said would include a pathway to citizenship.
"I don't want to go into specifics, that's for them to announce," Hoyer added, saying he expected them to share the plan in the near term.[SNIP}

It makes no difference HOW many polls show the US Citizenry does not want this!
More than half of U.S. citizens believe most unauthorized immigrants should be deported, according to a Reuters/Ipsos poll released in February [SNIP]

Is there any way we can primary this bozo out of office in 2014?
That's all you need to know.
Yeah, with pitchforks, tar and feathers, the only way left.
"Camps will be established in Maryland for the re-education, and will include desensitization courses that help "conservatives" understand that sometimes young children, pregnant ladies and old men need to be shot for their own good," Boehner said calmly.
Agenda 21 must pay well.
I wonder what Boehner’s pay off is that he’s willing to destroy this country?
We the people completely rejected their Herculean efforts and told them to go to hell.
The only opposition in the house I find to this is this one, and of course the media/house leaders don’t want us to know about it.
Bipartisan Group of Lawmakers Introduce Immigration Reform Resolution . Duncan Hunter, Jason Chaffetz (R-UT), Frank Kratovil (D-MD), Glenn Nye (D-VA) and 18 other House members who introduced The BRIDGE Resolution states that Congress:
* Make E-Verify mandatory for all employers and hold employees accountable as well;
* Provide sufficient border infrastructure and manpower to secure and control our borders;
* Reject amnesty or any legal status that grants citizenship to those living in the U.S. in violation of current law.

No problem there, Johnny. You're constantly getting schooled by Obama and the Dems...
We could build a "path to Mexico for the illegal immigrants now in the U.S.", so they could join the line behind those who didn't break our laws already.
Don't forget the rope.
Oh, good lord.
I just wonder who they are polling, even my Mexican and South Africa friends find this offense, it took them years to get here.

One of the biggest problems is these losers in the GOP “leadership” are in such gerrymandered districts. They couldn’t win a competitive race against the Dem/marxist machine for dog catcher.
The “fix” was in the minute the bill was presented.
The only thing the Republicans think of is how they can stay in office and continue to enrich themselves in both money and power. Nothing else matters....not even the Constitution.
To do so, they must go along to get along with both their current voters and potential voters.
Guess what ethnicity they are? Don’t think too hard but I will give you a hint: They don’t assimilate into our society and they receive a huge portion of welfare.
Now, the timid and weak Republicans are horrified that the illegal Mexicans don’t like them and have swarmed into our country like a giant migration of lemmings. The most astounding thing is that they all follow the Democrat carrot and all that the Republicans can do is to hang a giant free taco in front of them and try to get them to forget the carrot.
How about the law? Well, as I said the Republicans don’t care. Eisenhower (a Republican) came up with Operation Wetback and sent thousands of them back across the border. Oh well, that was back before Johnson’s Great Society.
“Oh well, that was back before Johnsons Great Society.”
You will appreciate a 1932 cartoon posted here...scroll down a bit.

That's all you need to know.
Anyone else getting sick and tired of these "bipartisan committees" meeting in secret to come up with crap that nobody wants?
How about we do it the old-fashioned way: committee hearings and witnesses and marking up bills, just so we know where everybody stands.
Hot tar is too good for these traitors.
Just the thought of being a participant in an angry mob surrounding these amnesty-pushing traitors does indeed make me downright salivate.
Duncan Hunter has been standly firmly on the side of the law and conservatism since the 108th House passed HR4437, the best anti-illegal immigration bill ever. THAT would’ve fixed all the problems.
Too bad Tancredo isn’t there to back him this time around.
You'll probably have to wait until the first election featuring newly amnestied illegals. They'll vote the weeping gringo out.
Our tea party group was approached by a group of Christian Conservatives from out of state.
Boehner gets only about 40,000 votes in the primaries and they think he can be primaried with $250,000.
We are in the process of locating and interviewing viable Christian Conservative candidates to run against him.
This group is also targeting Lindsey Graham.
Boehner must be convinced the reconquista won’t ever affect Ohio. Got news for ya, Weeper. They want the WHOLE enchilada!
Exactly!
The same here.
How about a pathway to illegal alien status for all the citizens who are sick and tired of being stuck with the bill?
Why? I thought you have to pass things first so you can find out what's in them?
Who speaks for them?
It’s not a matter of “if” for Bonehead assuming the “mama” position for progressives, it’s just a matter of “when”.
Hey, mamma, come over here and bend over....that’s it.....
He may as well OK gay marriage, since he’s already quite used to it.
The fact that people still identify themselves as Republicans for even vote for them is beyond me.
A sane country would first deport the illegal aliens then the politicians.
“Boehner must be convinced the reconquista wont ever affect Ohio. Got news for ya, Weeper. They want the WHOLE enchilada!”
Recently Oregon...YES, Oregon..800 miles from the border was named one of four sanctuary states...OREGON! Hell, they’ve GOT the whole enchilada.
“Oregon is one of four official sanctuary states. Despite the documented presence of more than 50 Hispanic, Asian, and Eurasian gangs (most of which migrated there from southern California) involved in everything from drugs to sex trafficking to homicide”

POST OF THE DAY!
“A sane country would first deport the illegal aliens then the politicians. “
Johnson was meddling even then. When recession raised calls for Mexican braceros working under the wartime program to be sent home (after a seven-year delay, agribusinesses loved the hand-to-mouth wages the braceros would work for), Lyndon Johnson (Senate Democratic leader) interposed and shoved his Size 14 shoe in the door.
Lyndon knew Mexicans, if he could get them into the polling place, would vote straight-ticket Democrat. That's how he got elected to the Senate in the first place in 1948, in his eponymous "landslide".
Pres. Eisenhower beat LBJ's play by issuing an Executive Order, the program being under his authority as an admin program. (DoL, I should think, or Dept. of Agriculture.)
Crybaby Boehner “voices” his support for all things liberal. This isn’t anything new.
This is the part were we see how unqualified and incompetent our legislators really are. They will sweep the problem they caused and don't know how to solve "under the rug" by making the illegals into citizens with the stroke of a pen.
Didn’t Regan and Bush allow million of illegals to stay here with the promise to seal the borders? Are we doing it again?
I fail to see one single GOP elected person that has a clue to running this country and the democrats are even worse.
Deal making without lots of public hearings on such a huge issue is despicable. These “deals” always involve things they could not get away with after open public discussion.
Negotiating with leftists is insanity, suicide.
Illegal immigration is bad for our country. Period. And republicans are signing the party’s death warrant.
Amnesty now and a border security plan to be named later.
I sure hope so. Does he ever get Primaried? What an astounding buffoon.
NO AMNESTY__NONE, nunca, zip. The government let these folks in— now the government needs to get them out of our country. All you do is put about 100 employers in a federal pen and it is over.
I assure you, I will support his ouster.
Add to that no free schooling for their kids and no healthcare or any kind of welfare assistance. If you don’t do that they will keep coming because the border will never be secured. Its not going to happen.
I am more than familiar with LBJ and old George Parr for all of that back then happened at Box 13 here in Alice when I was a youth. As a matter of fact, my dad was an assistant DA here back then and was very active on the case.
We lived in the better part of town and one day we were all amazed to see the Texas Rangers come and arrest our neighbor across the street one day. He was the county registrar for Jim Wells County. Mr. Martins....I will never forget the day.
Old LBJ changed the welfare program from rice and beans to top of the line Angus Rib-eye steaks.
Agree completely. You didnt mention that family chain migration which will be a part of any reform despite what is touted will allow half of Mexico to colonize us. All by design in the works for decades. Americans have been played for suckers. My generation and the youth will have to learn the hard way - gonna end up with an American Gulag courtesy of treasonous so called conservatives in politics and media whom I hold in more contempt than the openly anti-American contingent. At this point and for a long while merely controlled opposition.
We are all things to all people. We are diversity. We are open-minded. We are anti-racist. We are no values. We are all values. We are evolution. We deny evil. We are hope change and vision. We are fools and we are finished. Do you doubt? 10 years should help. The length of standard sentence.
We are so close its unbelievable. The tales Solzhenitsyn described in his massive work of the cruelties and absurdities of the 20th Century Soviet state are soon to replay themselves here. Dont be found to be the first to stop clapping or adoring the leader. That story almost me me laugh and cry. Their legislature would have to clap at the end of their messiah speaking and the old would have heart attacks after standing and clapping for 10 minutes; 20 minutes; 30 minutes. No one wanted to be the first to openly stop because they would be noted and they and their families might be rewarded later that evening with a little vacation. If you survive - 10 more how dare you.
Let me guess: It won’t be supported by a majority of Republicans, but Boehner will bring it to the floor for a vote, where it will pass with Democrat votes and a handful of Rinos. Is that accurate?
RINO-GOPE coalition
oops
RINO-Dem Coalition
Sounds about right.
Can’t we get a majority of Republicans to agree that Boehner has to go? Or would he have Dems vote to keep him where he is with a handful of Rinos, just as he is doing on every other key issue? Pelosi probably likes letting the Republicans do her bidding, it deflects her from the blame.
They re-elected Speaker and it wasn’t even close
