Thanks!
San Diego and yes I will be going to graduation.
It’ll probably still be cold here in Wisconsin in June so I’m looking forward to it even more.
My son went through SD, graduated in February, and my husband’s two sons did PI, as did he. SD was a great place to go in February! Check out Marineparents.com if you have not already been there.
The brigadier in charge there at San Diego, if the one that was in charge when my nephew went thru the Depot is a class act...
He treated the families with the upmost humility and respect, and the morning before graduation he came out to do the final motovational run, he actually led the graduating company in that run...Later at morning colors he came out to meet the families of these new basic Marines and asked all of us Veterans to stand and be recognized...He came to each and every one of us and was glad we came to welcome a new group to the fold...
I’d go to war with that guy any day...
Sorry for the side story, but it was a great experience for me and my Dad to witness that special time in my Nephews life...
Back on track...
I have great confidence in the Marine in question that even with the loss of his legs, he is still a very dangerous person, in the right way...WalMart greeters are held in higher regard (to the TSA) as far as I am concerned...
If I had been there, I would have made a scene...You don’t [expletive deleted] with Veterans (of any branch of service) and get away with it...And believe me, I’ll go out looking for this type of stuff to happen...
